Using "blue foam", whats the advantage?

I have seen blue foam (like they make for aquariums) mods but am wonder what are the advantages of using this material over the regular white
matting supplied in the 510 carts?!

Hi Tun,

From the first advent done by Stubborn Pete employing tea bags in lieu of the poylester core on forward, Members have been using various methods for several reasons. Stubborn Pete did not like the idea of inhaling burning poylester fiber. Others are looking for a material that holds more e-liquid so the cartridge simply lasts longer between refills or wicks the e-liquid better.

Many report sucess with these cartiridge modifications and I am sure we will see more types of materials being advanced as time goes by.
