Using Boge's in a tank

In another thread here (about Chibi tanks) it was mentioned that if you use Boge carto's, you should punch 2 holes. Does that go for Boge's in any tank or just the Chibi? I'm looking at a liquinator tank (5.5ml) that is "Phat" or bigger around that takes Boge's. They apparently slot them but I thought it would be cheaper to just punch my own. Any advice?

I use carto tanks all the time and I only punch one hole in the carto..
but I would say mostly vg 2 holes
mostly pg 1 hole

I'm using my first tank M1A1 and punched cart right now, so I dont have much experience at all. I punched 2 sm holes on my Boge SR Carto. It seems perfect to me, I've filled it 3 times so far and have had no burning or leaking in the 3 days I've been using it.

I just got a lava tube, and the carto that comes in the tank (additional charge) is only punched once.

But the carto always seems dry on the inside. and there's always a crackling sound. should I punch an additional hole?

No matter what tank I've used, I punch two holes in the Boges and one in the SmokTechs. In my experience, one hole in a Boge leads to dry hits and burning, and two holes in a ST leads to flooding.

I have been using cartotanks for quite a while now, and I use Boge cartos exclusively. I use 2 holes, one on each side. I punch them with a jig and carto punch I got from VaporAge, perfect holes, same size, every time. I diy my own juice, and it is usually 65%pg/35%vg.

After punching, I fill one of the condom ends about 12 drops or so, push the carto in, partially filling the carto from the bottom. Then it goes in my tank, and I fill the tank. I always blow it out to make sure the middle is clear and put it on my pv. I will draw on it without powering my pv until I can get a taste of the juice, and it's ready to go.

This works EVERY time, the only exception is if the carto or carto filling itself is defective, which happens very infrequently.

I punch 2 holes for my carto tanks as I use all VG juices. Works well for me, no leaks and it doesn't seem to oversaterate the polyfill

They now punch holes instead of slotting them.

For me it depends on the juice. For 100% VG, I like to make one slot with a dremel. For all others, two hole punches with a saddle valve. The thicker juices do better for me with a slot versus the holes.

Vaporescence still sells the slotted cartos. Not sure if they are Boges. My brother uses them in his Liquinator.

I just got in some boge 3.0 ss cartos from ccv and boy are they hard to punch! Even with a saddle valve, sometimes it just puts a dent in them. I figure this has to be an operator error. With the smoktech, it's easy to punch a hole with just a hammer and screw.

I know it would be easier to just purchase them already punched but I hate to pay more when I can do it myself.

I use boge cartos and I dremel two slots on opposite sides. No leaking, burning, or over saturation.

For me, it was well worth it to get the jig and carto punch from VaporAge. The point on the saddle valve will dull after a while. I tried that, and I had a hard time punching holes with it because the point kept slipping off the carto and bent after the 1st couple of tries. Now I get perfect holes every single time.

I just punch 1 hole in my boge and it works great. as long as the hole made is 1/16" in diameter then 1 will work fine. i'm vaping at 75 pg/25 vg and it works flawlessly for me. with higher than 30% vg content, i would punch a second hole depending on how high of a vg % is in the juice.

Will the black boge's work in a standard tank, or do you guys get the stainless steel version? I recall reading somewhere that if you try to use a black carto, you have to end up taking the black 'wrapping' off. I have no idea because I haven't tried it myself, I just want to know what to buy in the future.

You do need to remove the black wrapper, which leaves a yucky glue residue, which most believe it's not safe to vape. You can search methods for removing the glue, but most say it not a pleasant job at all. I've never tried it, so I use Stainless cartos.

Put the wrapped cartos in the freezer for a few hours. That hardens the glue/adhesive to a point were it is not sticky. Usually peels right off leaving little or no glue residue. You have to peel them quickly after removing from the freezer because the heat from your fingers will warm them back to a sticky state. Works great for me.
