So, I just got in some Mt Baker Vapor Cin City and really want to try it but I only have plastic tanks. The website says it has been known to crack plastic tanks. What happens when a tank cracks? Does it like explode and leak juice everywhere? Or just crack slightly? I was thinking about trying it just to see but I am afraid of what happens when it cracks! Here are the plastic tanks I have:

Normally the first thing it will start to do is turn the plastic smokey, so you cant see through it anymore. THEN it will crack the tank.

If it starts getting unclear (smokey.. not smoke coming from it), that means that the plastic is breaking down, which means you are ingesting some of the plastic through your vape, and that is why you really dont want to ever smoke from a tank when the plastic starts going "cloudy".

Looks like you are using Evod's... there aree Evod Glass tanks, get one of those, to be safe.. for when you do want to enjoy a "tank cracker".

---

Let me be clear.. the tank cracking is not a big deal, some part of the plastic will split open, and your juice will dribble out wherever your device is, making a mess a papertowel can easily clean. The real concern, is before it cracks, as the plastic is breaking down, where are those broken down petrochemical polymers going?? Your mouth and lungs.

Thank you!!! Turns out the juice is way too spicy for me anyway, I dropped a little bit into my tank and only used it for a couple of puffs and then rinsed it out but it was too hot :-( I am ordering a glass tank now and maybe I can cut the spice by adding a little unflavored VG. I really appreciate your input and I am really glad I didn't use it long enough for it to break down, that's nasty!!

My ADV is Mt. Baker Vapor's Cinnamon Roll. Great cinnamon flavor, and hasn't cracked a plastic tank yet. Enjoy!

Hi Celsee! Does that flavor have a strong baked goods taste to it? I am more or less looking for something that tastes like big red gum, cinnamon with a kick but sweet. I guess more like candy cinnamon taste? I find that the baked goods flavors are a little too heavy tasting. I like clean flavors if that's even a thing!! :)

You want something like "Red Hots"?

Keep in mind with a different tank the vape and taste WILL be different. When I used iClear 16's I would notice the clouding of the tank and then it would start to leak, heck they are cheap enough so toss and start again. Once I switched to a glass tank I could not get the same flavor. Juices do vape differently with different setups (tank, voltage/wattage, bottom coil, top coil).

I suggest hang onto that juice and try it with different setups. My local B&M allows me to drip a few different juices in my bridge-less atty (by far better flavor in the POS clearos that they have for sampling), but they all taste better in my Russian 91%. My point being several of the flavors that I have passed on from the clearos, i have used with my Russian.

^^^ to add to what geekmedic said.... your taste buds will change too, and what you find offensive now, might be delightful in 3 months, or since you said this came from Mt Baker.. .maybe after it has had the suggest 2-4 week steep, it might of mellowed. You do know that any company that does "made to order" suggest you "steep" your ejuice for a few weeks to a couple of months (depending on the flavorings).

Good to know!! I will let it chill for a bit and maybe add a little sweetener to it and try it out :)

Tagging along on this since I'm a cinnamon freak when it comes to vaping.

Are PMMA tanks also susceptible to cracking with cinnamon flavored e-liquids too?

I searched google for PMMA to find that most references list them as a type of plastic so I would assume that a PMMA tank would also crack like a regular disposable plastic tank but wanted to check before I go ruining any of my tanks that use a PMMA tank portion.

Is PMMA just a fancy term for plastic so as to make some tanks look like they are better than they really might be with regards to plastic tanks or is it something that tank manufacturers went to, so as to avoid cracking with tank cracking liquids?

I suggest holding out on the sweetener until you have let it steep for a week or two. Try it in different tanks if you have them, then go for it.

BTW; what voltage/wattage, resistance are you at? What is your current setup, perhaps we may give some advice to reach optimal flavor (subjective I know) but can assist with getting close to ideal taste.
Example; my current flavor (Butterfinger); I was very pleased using a 1.5 ohm carto at 3.6v very happy, in my current setup 1.5ohm 4.5v/12.5w OMG what a difference! I have found this to be similar to smoking (meats), I have become a better smoker based on the suggestions of fellow cookers, different woods at different temps bring out subtle nuisances in different cuts of meat. Smoked cheese is my latest craze, talk about temp and time consuming.

Cinnamon is one of the main reasons I went to Full Metal Jacket SS tanks, early on in my rba way. :D Stainless Steel tanks, not only don't crack from juice, they don't break when accidentally dropped.:D Also provide clean juice flavor, no transference.

If a tank system doesn't come in a full SS version, I usually won't buy it. And before you ask, the taste of the vape will tell ya when she's bone dry and needs a refill, plus knowing ones juice consumption provides a major clue too, if one can't listen to their vape, that is.

Tanks should be built like, well TANKS.!!!!

Vape long and Prosper.!!!

I used the stainless steel tank for my AeroTank mega when I first bought it, and maybe I simply have some sort of undiagnosed mental condition but I just can't stand not knowing how much liquid is left in the tank.

Sure I could open it up before leaving the house to make sure there is enough, but it's just more convenient to simply look through the glass to see how much is in there, then I know if I *need* to refill it or if it's got enough in it to make it as long as I'm planning on being away.

I think it's quite similar to those folks that are bothered that when they fill up their aerotank it's not full all the way when they turn it drip tip side up, annoying, some frustration... That's pretty much how I feel using my AeroTank mega with the stainless steel tank now. But it's great for if I ever do manage to break the glass tank. Last night it took a rather nasty fall to our Spanish tile floor in the den, it sounded like... well I'm not sure what it sounded like, sort of like a really loud slap when it hit the floor. I closed my eyes (as I wasn't the one that caused it to fall off the table in the first place) thinking when I opened my eyes I'd see the worst and find eliquid on the floor and a broken glass tank.

I'm tankful to say that there wasn't even a scratch on my MVP2 or the Aerotank mega with glass tank that was sitting on top.

In any event, in an emergency I'd surely stick the SS tank on my mega before using something like an iciga ninja or an iClear tank but it really bugs me to use ss non windowed tanks and not be able to see the liquid level.

Sorry, SS tanks are my little pet peeve in the vaping industry, they serve a great purpose but I dislike using them since I can't see the liquid level.

Hi, I'm not sure about other folks but I have used some cinnamon flavors(not strong) baked type with my T3s tanks with no clouding up. I only fill the tank 1/2 full, just enough to vape in a couple hours. and I rinse out the tank with hot tap water when I'm done. I have not had either of my tanks crack but they are both authentic Kangers so not sure about Clone T3s tanks. If you just want to vape the flavor and not let it sit in the tank you might get away without damaging your tank by trying this as well. :2c:
