If it's a situation where I can explain myself then I have no problem vaping in public. On the other hand, in a situation where I cannot explain myself, I don't i.e. sitting in traffic with a car beside me.

you wouldnt vape in your own car because somebody could see you and you'd need to explain yourself??

I vape in public on a regular basis. Basically with me anywhere out in the street I don't even bother to stealth vape. I don't vape in restaurants, mostly because Mrs. Katz disapproves of doing that (though if she's not around I would stealth vape) I think she's concerned about causing a scene. I vape at work openly. I have only vaped in my local B&M shop, but thats mostly cause I hate going shopping.

Not giving a .... about what others think will make you happier. My friends and those that I love, their opinions matter. If you're some random person on the street, I don't care.

I'm totally down with that type of attitude, but then again I've always been that way about everything. Like I said I mostly don't vape in restaurants because the wife doesn't want a scene--probably because if someone (excluding the owner or manager) started something with me there would be one (she knows me too well). That said from random strangers, I have mostly encountered curiosity rather than negativity.

I don't give it a second thought. I can't see any reason to feel weird about what other people think. If they want to ask me what I'm doing, I'll talk to them about it. If they give me strange looks... well, OK. Some stranger gave me a weird look. Am I supposed to worry about stuff like that, 'cuz I just can't.

Not really, majority of people here in Manila are vapers. Most malls u see different vape stores in the corner which I think is prettty nice.. also they rebuild your rba's for a buck!

I think Manila (Makati and QC especially) would be prime locations for vape stores - I was a visiting call center trainer there for 3 months in 2011, and I was surprised at how many people smoked. I don't recall seeing anyone vaping back then, but it seems like the call center employees would really be a good target audience!

Im sure other people have gone threw this but when im out in public i feel very weird pulling out my pv. Not really sure y....maybe because it look like a weed smoking device but i just feel like im doing something wrong lol. Has anyone else had this problem or am i just a goof??o

It's quite normal to feel that way. You'd be surprised at how many people out there have a loved one that smokes and can't quit and would LOVE to talk to you. It's plainly obvious you're a class act and rather than being arrogant you're a humble success story...the best kind IMO. I've lost count of the number of cards I've handed out and actually have converted a few. Realize you are NOT doing anything illegal and it's your right to live a long, healthy and happy life. The day will come when someone does eagerly approach you for information. When it happened to me everything changed. I realized I had a wonderful opportunity to impact people's lives in a positive manner and that's the BEST feeling in the world. Without a word of a lie I've always gotten the greatest of feedback from everyone I've spoken to.
Cheers and the Best of Luck.

But but but Trick, some stranger giving you a weird look is the end of the world. I thought you knew that. :p

No but seriously, at first I felt weird about vaping in public, and then I basically decided that if I was going to vape and not smoke I may as well do it just like when I smoked. When I smoked I didn't care who gave me weird looks so why should I care if they give me a weird look while vaping? And as someone who regularly smoked corn cob pipes in public (corn cob was actually my favorite pipe style) I found I actually got more weird looks for that than the ego I use.

Probably because I don't fit the "country bumpkin" stereotype. Whereas my egos are black and stainless steel or chrome and somewhat "modern looking" with the CE4.

Yeah, I always wonder what people who never smoked nor vaped think when they see me. I still love to vape in public (outdoors) though because they scrunch their faces until they realize they don't smell anything vile... Then they look quite confused hehe. I also wondered if cops were trained on the different types of pvs out there so they don't waste their time pulling over people who are just vaping. I know TSA is pretty well educated on PVs as I just returned from travelling across the US with my provari and the rest of my vaping gear. :vapor:

Honestly, I can vape in public and love to give the "it's a personal vaporizer' response and launch into my schpiel of NO REALLY! You CAN quit smoking and it will be EASIER! that I've used in the past few weeks, but the one time I truly get nervous about vaping is while driving. I don't want to have to explain to some police officer that I SWEAR I'm not doing anything illegal.
