Did you buy separate molds etc and just figure it out or start with a kit or...?

I have molds, but I really like making Tack candy ( hard candy) on a cookie sheet and then my son breaks it with a hammer. This is the recipe I use. Aunt Marcey's Old Fashioned Hard Tack Candy - Wenderly

My mom always made it at Christmas, cinnamon and peppermint flavors. My job was to put it in the round tin cans! I’m using real flavors and olive nation for my flavors for my hard candy recipes.
They sell big bottles of flavoring.

Think my daughter would enjoy making. Only problem, she’ll fall off in my DIY flavors Just kidding, I wouldn’t mind. It’s neat and different, these days. We’ll have to try.
