I don't even understand the level of incompetence of how this happened.

I ordered some stuff from TW's USA site last Friday morning. By 1pm I had a tracking number of it being shipped and started eagerly awaiting the package.

By EOB Sunday there still wasn't any update on tracking info other then it was in transit.

Worked all day Monday and when I got home checked it again, it said Delivered. Checked with the roommate, we did not get a package.

So I waited till this morning and went to the mail box. We had a package, but it was not my package- it was something my roommate had ordered. Checked with the office, nothing.

Called the usps tracking help line, all they said was they'd put an inquiry through and might be able to get back to me tomorrow... at the earliest.

Called the local post office, guy said that the driver remembered delivering it... "or maybe it was the other one I don't remember..." so they're sending a guy out "sometime" tomorrow to see if it was left in another parcel box with a misplaced key.

What I really want to know is... HOW do you lose a package with DELIVERY CONFORMATION???????? Don't I, or someone at the residence, have to SIGN for it? And if no one is there to sign dosen't a pink slip be issued for re delivery or that you need to come collect?

I'm just belligerent. I know the idiot mail man probably delivered it to some other guy's apartment, who signed for it, and went "COOL FREE STUFF" while I'm here out over $100 bucks.

Well according to what you said, I am sure they will take care of it. Plus they will have a different signature then yours or a roomate so its not your fault that they delivered it to the wrong place.

I would recommend asking who you bought it from to confirm that the correct address was put, what if it was to an apartment and the wrong apartment number was placed. I sell on ebay and I had something shipped to someone and it went in the other direction, labeled as undeliverable and returned. I had sold to this same person before with SAME shipping label/address. I called USPS, they said they can not give a reason, maybe it was torn etc. No it was in prefect condition. Point is start at the source and dont rely on USPS.

I emailed TW's customer service and asked them to please confirm to me what address and apartment number they sent the package to. I also asked them if the package really is lost if they could do anything for me. Then I went back up to the office and asked them if someone brings in a miss delivered package if they would please contact me.

I only hope to god that someone finds out where it is and lets me know, or I can somehow get a second shipment or a refund.

Since TW's checkout is through paypal should I also contact them?

I would say give it a day or two....that tracking number is going to show up somewhere. If I ship things I buy Delivery Confirmation with Signature. I think is $.85, but could be wrong now. The tracking number needs to be tracked! I've had things mis-mailed (?don't ask, I don't know how either) from Johnson Creek Juice one time, took two extra days before it showed up, was marked "MISS SENT" whoever she is:rolleyes:

USPS delivery confirmation doesn't really mean poop. It is not a tracker like UPS or Fed Ex.

Just to give you a little hope you may still see your package, one time I was checking on a package that was shipped USPS. I also noticed it said delivered, and went into panic mode because I didn't receive the package. As I was talking to the supplier and giving them the info we both noticed that the delivery date was not only a Sunday but before I had even placed the order. It just didn't make any sense, later that same day I received my package and all was good.

Anyway, here is hoping that it's just a USPS computer mess up and you see your package soon. Remember USPS is government run.

Well, the Lawrence post office called me this morning. Anyone care to hear what happened? >_<

Totally Wicked put the wrong apartment number on the outside of my package and sent it to "C12" which essentially doesn't exist, so it was just sitting in a parcel box outside. I know this was not an error on my end, as it says my correct address on the receipt that they sent along. *sigh*

I'm just glad, for reasons like this, that I live in a small enough town where people are glad to help each other out like this and that our post man was kind enough to check the other boxes for me otherwise I probably would never have gotten it.

Thanks for all the support guys, I appreciate you giving me the hopeful words :) And now I just have to wait for my batteries to charge!!

its like that everywhere....the usps is lacking and i think these ecig companies should offer fedex and ups.....b/c they are much more reliable and can give you an exact date of delivery.

You're really lucky. If that had gone to a real person, chances are good that you never would have seen it. Your only hope would have been that whoever got it freaked out when they saw it was e-cigarette stuff. If your mailman delivers it to the wrong address and scans it as delivered, you're usually out of luck unless the package is insured. If the seller insured it, the PO might take care of it if you're lucky, I guess. I'm still waiting for my printer cartridge that was delivered (somewhere) uninsured a couple of years ago. :)

I'm glad to see you got your package. I too had one show delivered from usps. So I called the post office and the man working got a little testy with me. He said if it shows delivered, and the mailman tells him he delivered it, then he'd have to go with that, and there was nothing he could do..he didn't beleive me I guess.

I was pretty upset at that point, knowing I never got my package. A little later that day the mailman shows up at my house, the post office sent him out to speak to me. He proceeded to show me exactly where he left my package. I told him from now on, it would be best if he rang the doorbell when he dropped stuff off, thinking that someone stole my package. After about 5 mins he was back at my door claiming it was in my mailbox all along..

That couldn't be true because my mailbox is locked only hubby and myself have a key. The package was too big to fit into the mail slot, and no way he could have taken it out and brought it to my door or put it in there to begin with...I don't know where my package was, but he wasn't being totally honest about where he found it. Makes you wonder doesn't it? Anyway it all ended well. I really wish suppliers would give us more options for shipping as now I'm always a bundle of nerves waiting for packages to arrive.

I'm glad you got the package. I've had some experiences with USPS that didn't turn out as well.

USPS still sucks I give all the credit to the actual guys at my town's post office. It was the postal manager there, locally, that took the initiative to help me. The actual usps post office hot line, well, didn't sound like they were even going to try. "We'll try to get back to you if we can find any information" is not exactly reassuring.

I guess what irritates me is the fact that these carriers get paid very good money, so you would think they could at least make sure a package that is scanned is actually delivered to the correct address. I can understand a letter in an envelope much more easily. If you're scanning a package, you should double check. I was outside the whole time when my mail carrier came that day, so I know for sure my package didn't come to my address, but yet it was scanned as delivered. :(
