The post office just keeps giving me the same answer, They are checking into it. My mailman seems to think it was delivered to a wrong address and couldn't really tell me much, just that the guy who had the package that day was no where near my house at the time they claim it was delivered. Well i reorder anyway I am just about out of liquid so I really don't have time for this to sort out. Its been a rough week my card was charged $1,260 for registration fees to an upcoming karate tournament in Vegas should of been $420 and my computers hard drive failed so had to buy another Laptop. When it rain it pours......

What are the rules for usps in this matter?. If they lost it will they give you the monitary worth of it? They should, that's part what we pay for with priority mail and tracking numbers it seems. You can prove what it was, how much it cost and where it was from in this case.
Express Mail includes $100 insurance for free (you have to buy more if you want it.) For all other types of mail, including Priority, no insurance is included.

well, if they admit it is lost through their fault they will reimburse for the postage paid but not for the contents without insurance.
but it is tv's responsibility to deliver what you paid for, through usps, ups whatever.
you paid for something you didn't get and should look to tv first. you tried to track it through your postman, that's more than you are required to do.
just let tv know their package seems to be lost

btw priority mail for overseas does now include some insurance automatically and the amount is based on weight

I strongly disagree with your thinking that TV is responsible in any way. It's USPS that is responsible but they cover themselves with their policies. The buyer should still file a claim and see what happens.

I mentioned filing a claim from past experience. I work for the DoD at a Naval Avation Depot. There was a roof leak and rain from the roof ruined some personal belongings of a co-worker and myself such as one of his school textbooks, my radio/CD player, ect. We received reimbursement for the loss as there is a provision under Department of the Navy policy that covers such loss.

Since the buyer has a tracking number and can show that he didn't get the package along with a statment from the postal worker there is a good chance it would be approved. Can't hurt to try.

:)

sorry, but if you check mail order guide lines you will find that tv is responsible.
if you ordered from sears and the package did not show up whom would you look to for reimbursement?
sellers take a calculated risk by not buying insurance, very few things do get lost and buyers already are not happy with the cost of shipping in general.
as a matter of fact, ebay revamped their policies to make it clear who is responsible for what, and so did paypal.
if it was paid through a credit card, same thing. if you can show you did not receive the merchandise, then any cc will allow a charge-back

well the post office told me the tracking # did not match my address and was mailed somewhere else
How did they know?

I've filled out 4 delivery confirmation slips in the last 2 weeks. You write the address it is going to on the right half of the slip. The confirmation number is next to the perforated line. On the other half of the slip there is a giant bar code and the # again. The glue is under the bar code side. They glue it to the package, tug off the half where you wrote the address and give you that half.

I looked up the address it was a walmart... someone messed up

i came across this thread by accident but did take another look just now and realized this is the tv supplier forum.
do you mean to say that nobody from tv participates in their own forum, and probably could have checked on this ages ago?
