Orderd a 510 and PCC from Innovapors-they have been behind which I completely understand-BUT tracked it this morning and it shows at my local USPS as of yesterday, and out for delivery. So I am leaving for out of town for a week and waiting and waiting and waiting so I can bring it with me.

Sometimes my mail gets here at 10AM, sometimes at 5PM, sometimes at 1PM, well you get the point. Of course today since I need it and have plans, my mail is still not here. I like not spending a lot on shipping, but at least UPS has accurate tracking and you can count on getting your orders.

Really don't like the USPS lately...

Our usual postman comes around 9:30-10am, but especially in the summer, they switch around routes a lot due to vacations, etc. On those days, the mail runs very late--closer to 5pm.

When it is someone other than out regular postman, they *never* leave a package that need signing for--they just leave a note and drive on.

Once (not for an e-cig) I was waiting for the package and watching for him through the 'window. When he just put letters in the box, I thought my package hadn't come, but there was the darned notification. I was really honked because it was a large, heavy package, and I had to go get it:rolleyes:

I do wish the fill-ins would at least come to the door and knock...

But, for the times when the mail is running normally, they are faster than the more expensive Fed-Ex and UPS. But their tracking isn't near as good.

I hate the USPS too and their tracking system stinks. I was expecting a delivery last week and the tracking system says it was delivered last Monday at 10am. I was home and it didn't come to my house. I called and they opened and "investigation". Anyway, I had not heard from them in a week, but the package did arrive 8 days after it was marked delivered. UPS is much better.

Yeah, USPS can be a royal pain. What really irks me is that the mail carrier can manage to come upstairs to my apartment to leave a note that I wasn't home (when I was) but he can't manage to bring the package up here to begin with! Never happens with the light packages, but never fails with the heavier ones, so I just have a lazy mail carrier.

I order a lot of things online and I agree that USPS tracking is lacking, but the actual delivery depends a lot on your carrier. Mine is great and never fails to knock if a package wont' fit in the mailbox, or if it needs a sig. I appreciate what she does and always give her a card with $50 enclosed at Christmas.

You're lucky. My mail man is useless. He owes me 50 bucks.

It must have a lot to do if you are from a small town or not, perhaps. My mail lady is the same way. But it seems that a lot of big city mail people are the "knock and run" types.

Clarity - exact words from the USPS employee working the counter at the Post Office:
Yesterday, when I presented my package to be weighed for mailing, I was asked
how I wanted it sent.
Specifically his words were "do you want it to fly or go by the donkeys?"
Folks in the line behind me laughed when I suggested "donkeys also have other names"

keep in mind this is the same PO which kept 20 packages in a big cart without informing me....and expected I would just load them up and deliver them myself. Gee, I thought I paid to have them mailed from my old home to my new home.

Despite the changes as USPS I still like them. Tracking is a piece of mind, that is it. Tracking does not get it their faster.

Also I like the fact(and this has happened, espcially with international orders) That they deliver that separately and right away in the morning(About 9am). If I miss it, such as I did on monday, I walked down there(only a few blocks) and my package was ready at 11am. UPS or FedEx on the other hand this would not have happened, especially because the are so much further away. I also hate the attempt rule for pickup with other carriers.
