Exactly on the last bit about wire and silica. Here's the thing. With the way they defined ecigs, ecig substance, and ecig product, including the words "accessories" it technically includes the following, all of which are accessories for my REO: wire, cotton ball, plastic bottle, tubing, battery and replacement spring. What, is Wallgreens now going to be licensed, regulated, and require ID to sell cotton balls?

The current regs read similar enough that even now, it is technically illegal to purchase kanthal PR nichrome off the net.

The only saving grace is its totally unenforceable. If that's the case, why are they spending all this effort?

Keeping up appearances? So they can go back to their constituents (who probably don't even care). And say that they fought "for children and families"?

I think vaping has gotten to big for them to control the way they wanted to. Too many people went to vaping after the cigarette tax increase, we were pushed around as smokers, I'll be damned if I'll be pushed around like that again unless they can prove some sort of harm.

Exactly. I'm tired of being demonized by everyone. I still get questions like "So, when are you gonna quit the vaping?".

Maybe never, maybe next week. It took me more than 30 years to get off cigarettes, so I can't imagine I'll quit vaping anytime soon.

They need to learn to be more careful with tax money... the revenue stream from smokers is drying up. Here in Utah they're welcome to start taxing Jello with carrot bits... or ice cream... if they want to keep the dollars flowing.

Ding-ding-ding-ding!!!!

Smokers did that extraordinary cool thing that smokers do, we as a sub-culture spontaneously quit smoking and created a new sub-culture out of quitting smoking. IF ONLY tobacco control/anti-smoking groups could have done this. But they couldn't because they were too busy bullying smokers around and not being as cool as we are. And yeah I'm tired of being bullied too. 30 years of it, I had enough. So it might be unpopular to say NO I don't want my ID scanned to walk into a shop but that's where I'm at. LOL

As both of you say, it's too big and modding has become too big to even regulate this the way they are thinking of. AND THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW IT. They don't know anything about it. This was obvious when I watched the proceedings for the deal in CT with them wanting all the "accessories" labeled for "nicotine yield." LOL ...
