Hello,
I'm still pretty new to the vaping world and need advice on thinning my VG a bit. I was aware it would be thicker but much prefer
the more natural approach. As it turns out most of the TFA flavors I got are made with PG and I thought it would help thin it some but it's only drops of course. I recall seeing here and there the mention of distilled water, is that something I can add or would that alter or ruin the flavors? I appreciate that there are so many knowledgeable folks on this board willing to take time to help us newbies. Thanks in advance for your advice and have a great day everyone! :)

Distilled water can be and is regularly used for many to thin VG.

Question is, why do you feel it needs thinned? (Not saying you shouldn't)

Are you putting it through a tank or carto that isn't wicking it properly? If so, distilled water would be a good fix.

Are you having trouble "mixing" the flavor into the juice? Capping the bottle and floating it in a bowl of hot water for a few will remedy that.

I personally use 100% VG base, and after adding 10-20% flavoring, it actually ends up being a 10/90 mix to a 20/80 mix, more than a few drops.

Hope that helps :)

I use 5% water in my VG mix. I'm using a Smoktech single coil 2.0 ohm XL carto punched with three good sized holes. Some experimentation is required to match high percentage VG to an atomizing device.

I'm actually new to using a tank. Prior to two weeks ago I was using my 95/5 VG/H2O juice with tankless cartos. With a tank I found that two holes didn't work so now I'm using three. So far, so good. If I don't get at least ten days out of this current carto I'll try bumping up the distilled water by another 5%.

I'm just using a simple cig type vaporizer, V2 with cartos which has worked out great for me so far. It's not really that big of a deal to me and the only thing I really had trouble with is using a syringe with 20ga needle but I have actually decided to fill using the condom method. I originally felt the syringe was the best way to be the most accurate but boy did I get fooled
I used what by all accounts was a very empty carto, added a very careful 18 drops and the ejuice came pouring out and it didn't even have that slushy look everyone mentions. So although my V2 is great many ready mixed juice I bought isn't cutting it. First and most I'm a menthol smoker but I loved the idea of flavors and peach is a fav of mine so I ordered 2 10ml bottles that barely have a hint of peach. Now I got a bottle of VG unflavored nic so I can add as much of the flavor as I like :) Now if for some reason I need it thinner I know the distilled water can be used!
As always thanks Cheryl
