v-mod 2.0?? and aw batteries

IM thinking about buying a v-mod 2.0 but don't know what batteries to go with.I defiantly wanna stay with aw cause i read their the best quality.so what is the difference in safety and performance between aw protected 14500 and imr 14500?

I use 14500 batteries. I've had the AW IMRs and the protected AW ICRs.
I prefer the protected ICRs. They are higher mah and seem to hold up over time better than the IMRs.
I can't judge any of the regular AW Li-Ion protected batteries, but the ICRs work better for me than the IMRs.
They're higher mah as well.

BTW, AW batteries are made by Sanyo and Panasonic.
If you get genuine labeled Sanyo or Panasonic batteries from a reputable source, like lighthound.com or somewhere, they're just as good as AWs and usually cost less. AW (Andy Wang) just tests them and puts his labels on them. So does Panasonic and Sanyo before they put their labels on them. AW's aren't special or magic or anything, but they might be easier to find in certain sizes. Just sayin'.

I prefer imr tech as it wont 'vent with fire'.

Sticking lipo that close to ones face, you do want a certain amount of trust in your battery.

imr tech will do the amps on discharge but takes a hit in the capacity.

They sell batteries on their website. I think they're 14500 3.7V 800 mah batteries. I'd read through the warranty info. Lots of times you void the warranty if you don't use their batteries.
