Hello,

I have the V3 (a day now) and noticed that the button on the bottom seems to be leaving residual marks on the bottom of the batteries. The marks seem to be hindering the connection which seems to have weaken the vapor production. Cleaning it off fixes it temporarily.

Still experimenting and have only had it a day to be 100% certain it is the connection. I mention this now to see if others are also having an issue with weak vapor.

I tried more than one atomizer and I do keep them wet.

Hey Indy ....

You no doubt will see residue or an impression of the contact screw hitting the bottom battery. However, you should see no noticeable issue stemming from seeing a smudge of junk on the bottom battery. What we have noticed is once in a while getting a bad battery, and it discharging rather quickly (especially when in the bottom position. I take my button apart about once a week or once every couple of weeks, clean it with some PGA (pure grain alcohol) or the like, and am ready to go. Make sure the contact screw is completely screwed in, so the spring washer is completely flat. If its not completely screwed down, it will add a bit of resistance to the unit.

You will also see smudges on the ring that is used as the locking portion, whether it be dead skin cells, or just dirt, crap gets in there. So, when I take my button apart, I also take that piece apart & clean it real well!

Hope that helps indy!

How do you take the button apart steve? mine seems to be weilded on and doesn't come apart

They're on pretty tight- you can use a rag to wrap around the tube so you don't scratch it, and use a wrench to turn the cap off. Guides are at pure-smokers.com in the Prodigy section.
