I believe Steve posted somewhere it will have a load voltage of 5.5 - 6volts.

Yeah I saw that but it sure would be nice to get the voltage down around where the v2 runs.
My guess is that the V3 isn't for the Puresmoker Posse, it's for attracting new customers who might not like the standard PS product approach. The V3 is everything a normal PS device isn't - bottom switch, full voltage. If I'm right, there are more 5V devices in the pipeline. If I'm wrong, he'd going to lose a lot of customers to competitors.
I dunno, I think they need to step away from the battery tube design. Maybe come up with something that looks like an asthma inhaler lol. Now that I would buy.

wow i just bought the v3 and should have come here first, i thought this thing was 5 volts, thats why i bought it so i can use cartomizers at 5v, if this thing is only 6v then im screwed, and are the abtteries the v3 use protected, if not anyone know where i can get them protected for the v3,. there really is no explanation as to what volt this is other then the load, so is this a 5.5 volt device, a 6 volt device and why did they stray away form the 5volt. im confused, what did i just buy.
its not a quality issue thing, i have the ps pt and its the best thing since slice bread for me for the last 6 months but it hits the sweet 5volt spot and so i saw the new v3 on the site and jumped on it cause of the buttom spring button, but i wanted it for its 5v design but now im reading its not 5volt anymore which defeats my needs since i have a sb for 6volts and wanted a 5volt device.
plus im also worried becuase it doesnt say if the batteries are protected and im trying to stay away form non protected batteries.
ok so i checked up and the batteries are protected but how is it the v2 used these batteries and was 5volt and this thing is 6v or whatever it is. they maybe should have given it a different name since the prodigy is associated with being 5v

Batts are protected. Same as the batts we've always used in the Prodigy. It will also work at 3.7v, but you'll have to buy that batt separately if that's what you're looking for.
Loaded voltage is between 5.5-6v- depends on the level of charge in the batteries. It shouldn't stick around 6v for long- it will drop off around the 5.5v region for most of your vape.

2-3 weeks for shipping is the estimated time line. An unprotected 17670 will work for 3.7.
ok last and final question, they also make protected 17670, does it have to be unprotected, not an issue if it does at 3.7 , just asking.

The trade in process for PV's involves getting a new one and selling the old one.
Never seen a recall on PV's... They did send out new switches and for a lot of people it worked out just fine.. There's also an option of sending the unit back to have it fixed.

What's the fix, another bad designed button? There's never been another PV on the market that clearly needed a recall like the V2. Sugar coat it all you want, the majority of people with the V2 are still having problems, just read the posts.

Not sugar coating anything... I sold mine... I never had a problem with my button.
Some do and some don't..
My V1 Prodigy works just fine and it has a tact switch button. Peope were flooding their atty's and shorting out the tact switched so they tried to make it mechanical...
Finally the V3 has a bottom contact mechanical button... I just hate that they stole the GG Slim locking ring design...

As is true on just about any forum, the majority of people who post in the threads are the unhappy people. Most happy users never post anything. So it's inaccurate to say that "the majority of people with the V2 are still having problems." It's just the loud minority who get the attention. Just look at any iPod-related forum. By just reading those posts, one would think that every iPod user was unhappy. That's certainly not the case.
I'm sorry some folks have had problems, and I'm not discounting their issues. But, for the record, I have never had any problems with my V2 that weren't solved by a little regular maintenance.
It's just that, because my V2 is working wonderfully, I don't come on here daily to post that. But if it were not working and causing me endless frustration, the story would be different.
Obviously they had a bunch of complaints otherwise they would have kept the V2 design. If they really want to keep customers coming back they would design a fix for the V2. None of the fixes thus far have solved the problem. I do all the maintenance recommended and I still have to mess with my switch to get it to fire. There's many others in the same boat they just gave up on PS coming up with a fix.
