Sorry to revisit this thread!

I have two gen 2 chargers and one slim line charger, and my gen 2 batts are being totally neglected as I'm in love with my diamonds :)

Would it be ok to charge a diamond on a gen 2 charger from fully drained to about an hour, then switch to a slim line to complete the charge? Seems like this way you avoid the excessive voltage by taking at off <half way through and it also let's me use my dusty gen 2 gear for a good cause :)

I was thinking about it believe me. I keep trying to revisit them and its SO not satisfying anymore.

Not enough heat, not enough of that diamond hiss and sizzle, and the draw (which I was previously used to) feels impossibly tight and annoying

what is PIF? I'm not even sure where the classified section is, let me look lol

If I sell this stuff it only means more diamonds ;)

A quick question: My shorty Volts came today. I am currently in vapor heaven using LR Cartos and blowing rings the size of doughnuts. I'm wondering about cleaning. I clean all my auto batts with rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush. Is this still an acceptable method with gen 2 batts? Is there anything I should look out for? Any differences cleaning the Gen 1 and 2s?

Thanks!

The main difference with respect to cleaning is the position of the main air channel, in the middle of the center post on an 'unsealed' gen 1, and a tiny hole on the side of the center post on a 'sealed' gen 2 (assuming you have the newer Volt 'sealed' auto here; if you have manuals, I don't think there is a difference with respect to cleaning.)

What do you do with the toothbrush and alcohol?

I've been using that method, more or less. A question I've had is, when sticking the toothpick in between the center post and outer ring, is there a danger of 1) getting the gen 2 side hole wet 2) shoving crap into it? On gen 1 'unsealed' batts this isn't an issue is the hole is in the middle of the center post on top.

That said, I haven't wrecked my gen 2 batts by doing this, its just a theoretical concern

Ok so I just got some volt batteries, sealed, which I assume are gen2 and I have a charger from a smoke nv starter kit, Also kr808's but i think first gen. the charger says output dc 4.5v 200mah just want to be safe and know if it's ok to charge these volts on that charger. Also I'm looking at buying some bloog batteries....same question for those, same charger? Or do I need to buy a different one? All these numbers are like greek to me, please, a simple answer.... Yes it's ok, or no, get a bloog charger. Lol. Thanks sir (s) and/or Madame (s).
