v4L batteries keep busting

In the last 6 months i've bough about 6 or more batteries and all but one are dead at the moment.
I just got 2 new ones a couple weeks ago and only one is working now. so im back to only one working battery I have to replace my batteries every month.

I use the shorty autos. are all the autos unreliable? it's not worth it to keep having to pay 20+ $ every month for a new battery. but i like them when they work.

any one else having such bad luck?

Not that I've heard of. Are you refilling while the carto or atty is on the battery? I've read that auto's are not a sealed battery, and if you gt juice into it, it will eventually kill it.

no i always remove the cartridge and make sure its not leaking any juice out the bottom. my manual still works. its the electronic switch in the autos that keep failing.

Maybe try tapping them fairly hard downward and see if any juice happens to come out. From what I hear, juice is the number one killer of auto's. If not, then they very well could be from a bad batch I guess.

If you are doing any refilling at all, I would suggest switching to manual batteries. I refill, and I notice that juice residue still gums up around the battery threads. I would be willing to bet that this is what is killing your autos. Pm me your real name and I will see what I can do for you

Dropping these puppies does wonders for killing 'um too, trust me! But that aside, after refilling ALWAYS blow from the mouth piece through the hole at the battery end into a paper towel or something 2 to 3 times and then clean the area in and around the battery connection well with the paper towel. This is another reason why it's good to let refilled cartos sit for a few days so absorption can wick the excess juice from the airway and thus it doesn't run back into the auto bat hole where the switch is. There are some threads here detailing washing the battery switch area out and it's worked for some, but unfortunatly, not me. Good luck... keep 'um clean!

Yikes. I have 8 manual batteries, and 3 of them are 11 months old and they still work just like new. The last auto I ordered was a shorty and it never worked, so I gave up.

After reading this, I wonder if it is just something with the auto shorty batteries. We have had a lot of problems with our auto shorty batts. We have only been vaping since the end of August and ordered out first auto shorty's in September. Two of them are completely dead, some don't work with certain types of carts, have issues with the center post nor popping back up after cart changes, etc. I have not heard of any of these issues with the Regular autos or the XL autos, only the shorty's. I really really like the shory batts and hope that they get better. I just put in a support ticket to get these bad batts replaced.

Ive had problems too with my manual ones but it just seems like the charge isnt holding very well. After about a month it seems if they are lasting shorter and shorter. It may be the fact im here in the desert and I know these arent heavy duty. Maybe im just hoping too much. Im pretty new with all this stuff too so maybe Idk.

I have 5 of the auto shorties and I really like them. But in the past couple days one of them is being almost non usable. It lights up, but one has to draw 'til you're fish-faced to get a hit. It's quite new, only a month or so old and it's not the cart - the same carts work great on the others, and other carts that work on the others do the same tight draw on this ailing battery.

Is this a symptom? What are some other symptoms of when they need cleaning and/or I should give up on it?

I have just found in general that in the last three month's or so that anything other than the Manual XL's just don't hold up as well..............of course that may be personal preference as well! I have two right now that the led just stay's on whether there is a carto on or not. (one is manual and one is auto, both XL

In the past few months I have had some issues with V4L batteries as well. One or two completely not functioning and some loosing performance fast. I have had some great ones as well. V4L is a great company to deal with so I am not worried. Everytime i had a problem they always took care of it. This last time i did not ask for a replacement but I just wanted to inform them of my most recent battery problem. They sent me one anyway. I have had problems with other vendor batteries as well...

Maybe the XL mans are the way to go. I have 12 of the newest version of XL mans, and here are the stats. Two have had faulty switches (hard, gold) that died soon after I started using them. V4L replaced both promptly, no questions asked. (Thanks, guys.) And the first four I bought are still going strong after seven months of daily charging and use--and sloppy refilling lately.

So very good stats for the XL mans I've seen. Now, I'm ready to order another four (gotta be ready) and am trying to sort out this business about those new black switches. I'd like to stay with what I know (gold) but haven't figured out if that's possible. I sure hope so. When you get something great, you don't want to mess with it, right? So I emailed the guys tonight to find out what's on the shelves. (If any of you want to talk me into trying the softer black switches, go for it!)

From what I saw online today the black switch batteries are on the special sale price as being discontinued so if you order the XL manual single logo you shouldn't receive any black switches

I must be one of the weird ones...I don't mind the black buttons at all. 3 of mine are the black buttons and to me they push easier than the gold. I have 2 with gold buttons and one of them I like and the other one I hate. The one I hate doesn't fit on the charger well and won't work with some cartos...even the WOW...just poor contacts. I need to find some sandpaper and really sand that one down I think.
