I was a 2 1/2 to 3 Pad M'boro lights smoker. I started with an XL auto kit, some 8mg cartos, some 18's, and went 3 days of vaping and analogs. I ordered some 24mg cartos, and after three days, went to vaping only. It was working, but I didn't have all the kinks worked out yet.

My PT was so much more satisfying that my 808 XL's. More vapor, more flavor, more TH. I was afraid to leave my computer for more than an hour or two! Then I ran out of 24mg carts, and I started jonesin. Got through those two days, but in the meantime, I also ordered another kit along with more cartos and juice. This time I went with the XL manuals. Maybe it's me, maybe it's the batteries, maybe it's the difference between the autos and manuals, but the manuals are GREAT! I find they are a much more satisfying vape all the way around. Pretty close to my PT and I can't say that about my autos. Am I alone on this? Am I losing it!?

I am just THRIILED with this new set! I also got a PT for my truck. Works great.

Now, I should have known better. Being such a heavy duty analog addict, I should have known to get some higher mg carts and juice. Aside from my 30ml, 24mg jar of 555, I also got some other 36mg cartos, including cafe mocha on this new order. Mother of all things holy! What an experience! I'd been vaping for a week, but there was always something missing, it was definetley falling short of total analog satisfaction. The cafe mocha 36mg really hits my sweet spot. Total and complete analog urge removal.

On the one hand, I don't like going "backwards" on nicotine dosage, but I rationalize that it's still just about staying off the analogs now, there is plenty of time to cut back on my vaping N dosage.

I went out and bought a Buzz mod in the meantime, and with my new manual XL's I'm not sure I needed to. I have a big party to attend Sunday, and was worried about it, being away from my PT for such a long time, buying the Buzz was almsot a panic move.

I guess I posted this because you folks better understand the whole experience, and I wanted to share it. Really, sort of needed to. Some things only another vaper can understand.

I'm just glad that the early recommendation I got was for V4L. I would not change that at all in looking back. Extremely happy with you folks, and thank you. Day 8 and counting...

Great news that its working for you! I have so many friends that bought other brands of e-cigs and they hated them. I thought they were all the same at *first* so I just nodded...hey, its not for everyone! After I stuck with my V4L for 6+ months, they all wanted to try mine. I still haven't tried any others, but they said the difference is night and day. FLAVOR and VAPOR! finally.

Like you, I'm at 18/24Mg. I vape a few 36's but they are a bit too strong IMO. I also have some 8's and 11's that I bought by accident and I really like them....I didn't miss the nic after a while.

I was a parliament smoker. now a parliament vaper!

Jay.

Congrats NoMatches! No, you aren't losing your mind. The hit off of the manual XL really is better, but I do love the diamond XLs. It's tough to find your sweet spot on the nic level sometimes. I start off the morning with 24 mg, switch to 18 mg after lunch and 11 mg when I leave the office. Got some 36 mg for when I can't vape all I want to. Will worry about cutting nic back later. How does your mod compare to the manual XL? Bet you will be amazed by how fun the party will be without wanting a nasty cig.

Thanks all! I think that because there are so many potential pitfalls that some who try vaping give up too soon. Good to know I'm not delusional... the manuals vs. autos thing!

I haven't recieved my Buzz from Notcigs yet. It will be interesting to try one of these mods so many people talk about, it's just that now, after getting my manual XL's, I probably didn't need to buy it in the first place.

Vaping a 36 was a real revalation, and it should not have been, I should have known better as a near 3 PAD. I would go outside a restaurant at least 3 times during a meal to smoke. Heck, I power smoked, and even lit up a second .... when the first one got too hot! I mean, you want to talk about addicted, surely that is ME! WAS me. I'm obviously still addicted to nicotine, but I know I don't need to explain all that here, that's for sure.

I think I have a new convert from another of my fantasy football sites. I've recommended the manual XL starter kit. Gave him all the links. He posted this morning he was going to order and I hope I got to him before he placed an order elsewhere.

It really is confusing for a newbie, at least is was for me, and I had some idea of what I was doing. Not enough, but an idea. Finding that sweet spot... it's about getting the right PV, the right N dosage, even the right flavors down. I was never planning to use other than tobacco flavors, but this V4L cafe mocha... OMG. It's almost too good.

I'll recommend V4L till the cows come home to anyone I know. This big party I have on Sunday... gonna be some family there that smokes. I'm gonna show up with the full arsenal. My V4L PV's, my new Buzz (should get it by Saturday) my now beloved cafe mocha, and the works. I fully expect to get at least 3 people to try vaping on Sunday and get them on board this train!

+1 on dialing in the nic levels Doshma! I've had friends that were basically chimneys and they found their best vaping at 11mg. While others that smoked lights found their happy spot at 24mg....go figure. I always tell them that the upfront costs are a little higher due to hardware and buying a variety of different flavors and levels to find what fits them best.

I had a Buzz Nomatches if you have any questions send me a pm, if not try 4.7v.

That's the strange thing in the "which is better" debate, I like them all for different reasons. Lately I find myself reaching for my shorty batts, auto....manual, it doesn't matter.

Ya gotta love it, NM! As you can see I didnt get too creative with my username here...lol

Myself and NoMatches are members of a pretty big off-topic forum elsewhere on the innerweb...A month or so ago, an e-cig thread was started over there, which was the shove I needed for giving vaping a shot..I started with another brand (I jumped the gun before researching thoroughly), but after a week discovered V4L and quickly made the switch...after posting my experience over there with V4L and vaping in general, some of the other members decided to give it a shot as well....

Long story short, there have been about 10 or so members on that forum who have put down the analogs in favor of vaping because of that thread over the last couple of weeks...Some have ordered from V4L (I always recommend them), a few others have ordered kits from other vendors, but all of the experiences so far have been positive and the results have been amazing. Longtime heavy smokers like myself (1-2 packs a day for 20+ years) cant believe how easy it is to stop smoking analogs once they try vaping.

That e-cig thread is growing like crazy, and there are almost 450 total posts in it with no signs of slowing down, filled with posts from myself, NoMatches, and other members with their ongoing shared experiences with vaping. It seems that pretty much every day there is another member jumping on the bandwagon and giving vaping a try. Its pretty friggin awesome.

So Id also like to say thanks to V4L. Ive had zero issues with the products or customer service, its all been Top Notch. Youve got a customer for life, or at least as long as Im vaping. Dig it!

Hey Wingnut!

Was it actually you who started that thread? Or was it evilgrin? Either way, I owe you many thanks. I know it was your V4L recommendation that got me here. The people here in the V4L forum are really supportive too. I've gotten a couple of converts over the the Huddle.com too. That doesn't get near the traffic FBG does, but my success has gotten two more over there ready to make the jump.

ECigs are just an amazing miraculous thing, and thanks to you, here I am going into what... my ninth day! Good group in this forum. Nice folks at V4L. :vapor::toast:
