NO....STOP... Do not force the Cool Cartos onto to your battery and risk damaging your battery threads. This was an issue from the factory where the threads were slightly oversized.

Take a nail file or 400 grit sand paper and lightly file down your battery threads, then try screwing on your Carto until it works. This will not damage your battery from using other Cartos like Wow Cartos or Premiums.

You will also have to perform this on a PassThrough if you have one. Again, do not force it or work it back and forth or you might strip your battery threads.

Actually the threads on the Coolcarts are a lot softer than the ones on the battery. It is ok to go back and forth with the cart. The reason you do the sandpaper is so that you don't have to do it will all the carts. If you are only having problem with one, it is fine to do this.

actually doing the sand paper or file will mod the battery . now if you do that to your battery instead of working the threads on the cart back and forth a good cart that was properly threaded may fit loosely on a filed down threaded battery . the tip i explained earlier comes from being a pipe fitter we never file down the threads on the pipe to make a fitting fit onto it we simply work it back and forth till it seats correctly . it works for me very well and have had no issues with batteries done that way. like someone said earlier the softer metal is the cart which means the cart will lose metal by doing this and not the battery.

This fix is not some dangerous passage into the unknown, this is straight from V4L.

YouTube - CARTOMIZERS NOT FITTING YOUR BATTERY?

It takes all of 2 seconds and it will not harm you batts or passthrough or diminish the performance of either with other cartomizers. A simple cuticle file will also fix this problem, I'm sure you ladies might have one of those or have a friend and an extra 15 seconds in your day to try it.

There is no reason to force a $1.XX Carto and risk stripping the threads on $12.00+ battery. But hey, whatever...to tell you the truth I don't really care.

I just pass this advice on to those that want to act on it and in every instance they reply back with "Thank you so much, works like a charm."

I did not say to force it in the first place , the method is a threading trick to align the threads properly it only takes away from the softer metal which is on the carts and not the battery . if you file the battery to fit tight threads it may fit loose on a looser threaded cart so then you pretty much ruined the battery threads . but heck it is not my batteries i just know my method works and am not fond of filing anything on my battery .

Why would you refuse to do anything to your battery? You are keeping yourself frustrated. It actually isn't the carts, it is the batteries, just like most things that have threads. What the filing does is knock down the threads so that the carts can go on there.

Don't act all high and mighty, V4L's batteries aren't the only one's that do this.

I'm having the same problem and I refuse to do anything to my batteries. Luckily they fit my PT so I'll only use them on that. A bit frustrated with this problem. I won't buy them again.

how would not filing my batteries cause me frustration when i clearly stated the other method worked for me . it does seem to be the carts when other carts work fine on the battery . how am i acting high and mighty? i am just sharing my experiences with threads . last of all the batteries and carts i am using do not come from v4l due to i have been burned by v4l's products too many times . i use a defender that uses the 808 cart . i do not mean to sound like i am downing filing , just saying it is not for me . as long as everything still makes contact all should be good i suppose . i just like that nice tight fit .

Sanding the threads takes two seconds and it works perfectly. Complaining online that you're not going to sand them takes much longer.

Just sayin'. ;)

i believe i may have been mistaken if you think i was complaining . i was only trying to help someone else out. the op has been advised of a couple of options what they do with it is up to them .

The youtube video is from early June. My order for blank Cool Carts was this last week. So, they know there is a problem and are still selling these.... hmm. Just doesn't seem right, but as I said, I'm able to use them on my PT, so not a total loss. Live and learn.

v4l does keep a lot of old inventory . they are still trying to sell seasonal carts from around xmas time . but hey they still have the best deals on 808 batts' which my wife loves .i will also say this for the battery , it has a slightly higher voltage than the defenders which is good for the TH i guess .
