I am a Tolkien/Lord of the Rings geek. I have:

-All the LOTR movies on DVD...the extended editions :D
-A plate collection or two
-Candle holders..one of Lothlorien, and two in the shapes of Gandalf's staffs..Grey & White
-Some jewelry..including Arwen's Evenstar, a leaf of Lorien (elven brooch), Evenstar earings, an elven necklace
-The One Ring Trilogy mirage...(the ring mysteriously hovers over the carousel...spoooky)
-an extensive collection of Tolkien books (not just LOTR)

I'm sure I'm leaving things out..only the carousel, movies, books, and candle holders are on display in my home, as I plan on moving in the near future...and of course I've yet to acquire a few things...like the pewter Gollum/Smeagol book-ends for starters. :p

Of course, this is not the only reason I am a geek, but it's surely a start.

What? No Blu-ray? Jk, wait for the extended versions.

I don't really consider anyone really a geek for their quirks and fanboy/girl collections or hobbies, but cosplayers ... that's a whole different ballgame. Any cosplayers here? If so you win :p

Hey Leaford! Was just thinking.... has V4L thought about having a retail or promotional presence at Comic-con in San Diego and Dragon Con in Atlanta? I think that both would be an ideal audience for V4L.... smokers who want to quit and are not fearful of new tech. I'm planning on attending both. Dragon Con is on home-turf and I know quite a few of the staffers and Southeastern vendors and regular performers. San Diego is a new one for me... but plan on being there to help out G4. If nothing else, I would be more than glad to hand out business cards and information to convention goers.

I know the in's and out's of String Theory, M Theory, Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatories, Akashic and Astral planes, Black Holes, Transwarp theories, Enochian Mathematics, and have even devised my own cumulative T.O.E.

All of this done out of leisure. And the physics books are packed next to my Xanth and Dragonlance collections... :w00t:

Im right there with you on this one!

I don't know if I'm a geek in the traditional sense of the word, though I did start reading fantasy novels. Mark Lawrence's Broken Empire Trilogy, to be specific. Has anyone on here read that? I just started Emperor of Thorns and I can't put it down.

Outside of that, I'm a big geek for words. I get really giddy when I learn the etymology of a word, or when I discover how two words are connected (ignore and ignorant, i just learned today, are related, which should be obvious, but had eluded me my whole life). I like how words like snot sniffle snout sneeze snort etc all sound alike and kinda make you think of a nose sound.

You asked for geeky. I give you geeky. LOL
