Hey Randine. Welcome. As you've seen, V4L will promptly resolve any issues, and I'm sure that they will do everything to restore any confidence that you may have lost when you opened that first package.

With regards to Popeye's note, it's a Belkin. I and my husband use their mini-usb car adapter and we love it. They are shorter in design (if this is the one that Popeye referred to) and they fit flush in the adapter socket in the car which is nice. They are available at Wal-Mart, Target, and also at Office Depot.

If I remember correctly Incantius sir it just has to be one rated for 250ma or greater, which most are. The pt is the only item requiring more (2000ma or 2a)...
that would mean that a USB2 port would be the minimum for the pt? (IIRC the "original" USB 1 ports were a little lower mah but i haven't seen one of those in what 5 years lol)

not sure if you remember lol
Amy, I recognize you and Who from the *other* forum. And since I can't say it there, I'll say it here. ....... that company!!! I'm absolutely done with them. They've screwed me over many times. I absolutely will steer everyone I can away from them, especially the new vapers. I would be back on cigs if I hadn't found V4L, because I had such bad experiences with them.

Anyway, nice to see you here. :)

welcome again, Randine! sounds like the v4l team is fixing you up --hope you'll give us another chance!

Edit: Since V4L doesn't sell this type of item, hope it's ok to post this info here. another vendor's got 500mah ac/usb adapters on clearance for less than $4. It won't power a passthrough, but would run your charger, i think. PM me if you want the link to the thread, Randine.

You should get one that at least 1000ma best 2000ma this will charge all things because a cell needs 1000 iphone or 850 android but they only draw what they need so it will not matter. By getting a 2000ma you can use your PT on it with no problem min for the PT is 1000ma. Most cell chargers are 500 to 850ma and my PT will not run on them or my old notebook with low USP ports. Its the same with Car chargers V4L is a 5v 2000ma so if you get any other check the ma's

you're absolutely right -- that's why I tried to say that it would only work in a pinch like when you're traveling or something...a 2amp is definitely best for passthroughs...

Yeah I like the 2amp for everything because you cant go wrong since the devices only pull what they need to anyway.

thanks all for the advice and the warm welcome. ill have to go to walmart and pick up a 2000mah usb wall charger so i can use my pt aswell. V4L is taking care of the mistake, so it seems all is good. it does suck that they dont offer a usb wall charger from them. i would have liked to get everything i needed from one place. but it is what it is. not that big of a deal at the end of the day.
