V4l pcc?

My hubby and I are V4L devotees,he uses a PCC while at work. We have noticed that the only light on it ever is the red light,and that is only when the PCC is plugged into a USB. Is that normal? Should we be trying to charge it with the lid open or closed

If I remember correctly the light nearest the battery will turn red when you screw in a battery, and flash (red) periodically when the battery is completed charging. The light near the usb cable will turn red when you plug in the cable and then(should) turn green when the pcc is fully charged.

Let me see if I understand:

The top light goes red when you plug in the USB to charge the PCC.

And the bottom light never does anything at all.

Is that correct?

If so, that isn't how it should be operating.

When plugged into a USB, the top light should be red while charging, and green when it is finished charging.

When a battery is screwed into the PCC, the bottom light should be solid red while charging, and blinking slowly when it is finished charging.

Whether the PCC is open or closed while charging either itself or a battery doesn't matter.
