When it's time to change a carto, I usually take the tank apart for a cleaning, then set it up with the carto and grommets again. It's rare that I change cartos, though, since I use a lot of pvs and ce2 tanks, and mega dual coil cartos, besides the carto tanks. So, a carto in a tank can last me two weeks or more.
