Reconstruction from the mastectomies began yesterday which makes me happy!

But I'm realizing that the full reconstruction is going to take months.

This does NOT make me happy...

I'm thankful, though, that I live in a time and place where I CAN get reconstruction.

Ha! Or even medical treatment at all, for that matter!

I'm touched that my 4 year old has learned that when she wants to sit on Mommy's lap, she needs to bring a pillow to pad Mommy's front before she leans back on it.

#4 and prolly my biggest smile of the week: my daughter is learning the joy in being kind. At the bus stop, the kid who gets there first is "line leader" and my daughter LOVES to be line leader! We often leave a little early so she can. So we are at the bus stop, and her best friend was second. The other kids were all behind too, and a little boy was trying to talk to them and my daughters friend kept yelling at him and being mean, telling him to get to the back of the line. So my daughter told the little boy he could be line leader. She didn't cause any trouble or bickering with her friend, she simply politely offered the little boy to be line leader. He was so happy, and the whole thing was done. I was so proud of her choice. And I think she felt good about it too
