Just make sure that wherever you decide to get one that you check out the return policy just in case you're not satisfied. If you're looking for something genuine with the same general features (from what I understand) that you know whether you're getting the "right one," look into the iTaste SVD.

Good luck finding something that works for you!

Thanks for the advice. I've read some stuff that Phil Busardo website (King of reviews). Out of ALL the ones he has had his hands on, he listed the Vamo as one of his favorite devices - along with the ProVari.

NOTE: I cannot list his website here because of the way it's named.

Both of his links about the Vamo point to this link -->http://www.smoktek.com/VAMO-Variable-Power-VV-APV-Rev2--Stainless_p_565.html

I think Phil got the device waaaaay back in time though when Smoktek may have been the only vender at the time of his video. Still doing research about VB, Fasttech, and Smoktek.

No, Smoktek were not the only vendor. Health Cabin were selling them , and a few others. Smoktek were not the first vendor either. I've had my Vamo over 6 months now. I think my second one is over 6 months as well. I bought mine before Phil's review.
There isn't an "authentic" Vamo. Different factories now make them. The chips are the same in them - those are bought by the factories and put into the Vamos.
You really don't need to worry - you can buy one from Health Cabin - who also call it the Ego APV (original name) and the Bamboo. Or Fasttech, or a US vendor like Discount Vapers, or others.
