Vamo damage prevention!

WARNING= do not use a 510 to ego adapter on a VAMO!its a bit to long and will sever the 510 connectors insulator eventually,a small rubber ring will come out which is only the top part of the severed insulator.you can replace the insulator,avid vapor has them,IF YOU can get the top cap off,i had to take a hammer n screwdriver to mine in a vice cuz trying a plumbers wrench was a no go,to finnaly get it off and i damaged the board in the process...510 to 510 adapters seem fine,some vamos are pressfit tighter than others i guess,mine was ridiculously tight...so save urself a lot of trouble and use ur t2's,evods,whatever needs them damn 510 to ego adapters on a different device,dont say you havent been warned,i wish i was.

i've had no issues at all with mine and i use an 510 to ego on it all the time. The only thing that happens occsionally is that it will push the center pin up a bit on whatever vivi,t3 or other delivery system i happen to be vaping at that time

There is at least 1 thread dealing with how to replace that insulator with a #60 rubber washer around here somewhere. A much easier method than removing the top cap from what I understand. I had the same issue with the shredded insulator.

You can damage your insulator with almost anything you screw on there if you tend to screw it all the way down; this isn't just an adapter issue. If you only screw down your attachments until they make contact it should help to reduce this risk.

Not an adapter issue.. I use them very frequently, as well as a 510/510 adapter. As KeithB said also, only screw down until they make contact. Going any further than that is the issue.

If you crank anything down you run the risk of damage...

In the Army, we called this an Operator Headspace issue.. (just a joke...)

I always use 510 ego adapters on all my Vamos. I'd much rather damage the adapter threads than the weak threads on the vamo.
