Well thanks to member buzzzlove I have what I believe is a decent temporary fix. I have cut small strip of basic clear scotch tape and wrapped it on the end of the control head. This acts as a shim and I think it will hold for hopefully a few days. If not we have like 3 leftover rolls of tape from Christmas! haha, here's to ghetto fixes! :toast:

Well, I screwed up. I did ask for a replacement from electronicstix. After paying to ship the defective one in I received my replacement yesterday. This replacement is fully intact but suffers from the weak battery spring that many were reporting a couple weeks ago. I guess I will be finding a replacement spring myself as I refuse to loose another shipping cost. Lesson learned though, I should have just stuck with the original unit and used either glue or jbweld.

Thats why use Provari owners push them so hard.... USA made QUALITY>>>

Lesson learned..... Dont buy cheap China junk!!!

Not all Vamos are junk. For example, mine runs great and has absolutely no problems. Another guy here dropped his out of his pocket, while up on a ladder.....and while it came apart, he put it back together and it still works.

Comparing the Vamo to the Provari isn't really fair. They're not in the same league, even if they are designed to do the same thing. One costs $200, and one costs $40. If you go with the $40 option, you have to accept that the chances that you might get a lemon are most likely higher than the the $200 option, and hope your vendor makes it right.

Generally, I'm in the "buy once, cry once" crowd when it comes to purchasing products of any sort. I'll pay more for less chances of getting a lemon.

But I'm really happy with my $40 gamble so far.:)

Now you got E-vic :). But seriously yes the parts are badly pressed together. I got SS Vamo and that was put together so badly, every part was crocked. I Managed to get it straight in a vice using pipe and hammer. Stuck a pipe inside the top end, pushed and pulled and hammered from side to side till it was fairly straight.
So there goes the apparent Vamo durability. I guess if I'll drop it, being so heavy it'll either come apart or get out of shape again. But it vapes good I must give it that.

My vamo has been really tolerant of me. Once I was wanting to go to 18350 size and the section I wanted to remove wouldn't budge so I said what the hell and got a pliers to get it off. Still wouldnt budge and I thought. It was cheap go for it and tried really solidly. No go. Then I realized that that part didn't unscrew. ). : scratched because I am a ding bat! I love my Vamo. Time will tell how long it will survive me rolling around in the car, me sleeping on it, my dogs sleeping on it and at the bottom of my purse forgetting to turn it off. And lastly the dripping spills the well catches regularly and my sticky e liquid fingers on the buttons. I do clean it up regularly and I also bought a vaporskinz to protect the chrome since I scratched it. Just exchange it for one without the defect. It's a good mod

I like you.

electronicstix has been really good to me about returns. Get it in w/in the 14 days and you are good.

My I-Taste, due to careless design, has been returned once and the was okay'd for a return again when the same crap happened again.

Second time I just decided to deal with the ridiculously weak charging port and sloppy pop out neck hub and hope for a solution that I can tweak or fix if the port comes totally apart again.

Just more reason for aspiring to get a Tonka mod without spending big bucks.
