All of a sudden with TWO VAMOs, most devices giving burnt taste at most settings, but not on Ego Twists??

Hey guys, aside from two other issues I am having with one of my two VAMOs (or the spring/battery cap - HERE), I am having a new issue with BOTH VAMOs all of a sudden.

Ever since I got both of my VAMOs (one I got a few weeks ago, and one on Xmas Eve), any device has worked fine- no burnt taste at the correctly set voltage for the device resistance (Vivi Novas, Vision Clearomizer, etc), but ALL OF A SUDDEN tonight, two different Vivi Novas and a Vision Clearomizer are producing pretty much ONLY very burnt tastes with not only the correct set voltage on the VAMO, but even the lowest voltage (3v). This is on two completely different VAMOs that I own, and the issue does not happen at all on my usual Ego-C Twists.

Why all of a sudden would both VAMOs be TOO powerful at almost any setting with all these devices except my Z Atty U? What could have changed? This is two VAMOs with their own 18650 batteries, so I know it's not just one VAMO having an issue. And it's not my taste buds- it is legit burning too hot and only on the VAMOs. Each device has different juice too.

What the hell????

So you have them both in No 2 which is RMS? Also - what ohm heads in the Vivi novas? I'm sitting here now vaping a vivi on the Vamo just fine. I just switched mine from watts to volts, set it at 3.8 volts to check it on volts - and no problem.
Are you in No 2 - you press a mini button for 10 seconds.
Also - what batteries are you using? IMR?
Sorry for all the questions - it just helps to have the whole picture.

Both in No2 mean RMS, 1.8ohm heads on both Vivis and 2.4 on the Vision. Both VAMOs with IMR18650 2250mAh batteries.

Here's the thing though, I GUESS two of those three devices were kind of low in juice, not empty but low. I re-filled them both (the Novas) and now the problem seems to be gone I think?? Would a VAMO compared to an Ego-C Twist be more susceptible to a hotter vape and burning taste with a device low on juice than the Ego???

I read your other post. What both devices have in common is that you used the same springs on them, and both got warm at the bottom with one of the springs. Both batteries have been used in the stainless Vamo.
The gunmetal Vamo had been working perfectly prior to this.
If both devices suddenly started doing this and you have them in no 2 setting, which is RMS, then something may happened with the battery from one which you also put in the other, which may have affected the circuit boards. That's the only thing I can think of here.

Some-one else may have more - but narrowing down what they have in common leads back to that battery. Unless they aren't in RMS of course, but it sounds like they are from what you said.

Ah - go with higher ohms on the vivi nova. 2.4 or 2.8 ohms is better. And yes, if the vivis are low on juice you can get burnt hits. I'v experienced that from not keeping the wicks wet.
You don't need 1.8 ohms on a Vamo. As for the twist - I don't think its voltage regulation is going to be as good. A Vamo will give you accurate voltage and maintain it. A twist is probably going to drop down a bit as the battery is not capable of what an 18650 can do.

Ok so probably not a problem then since filling the devices seemed to fix everything I complained about in this thread? The spring getting hot in my newer SS VAMO is another thing, whether that is normal or not, but this thread seems like a closed case? Again, not sure why I was getting very burnt hits with the low juice devices on the VAMOs and not as much on the Twists, but who knows...
