Just got my vamo and am loving it. My nova is working well unless I tighten it down snug. When it's completely screwed down, not tight but just snug, the resistance drops from 2.4 ohms to .3 ohms. If I keep it loose it'll read 2.4 ohms and work fine but it kind of flops around. Is this a problem with the vamo or the nova? Has anyone had this problem? Thanks for any help.

I'm using that same combination right now without any problems [so far]. .3 ohms is extremely little resistance so I'm at a loss on that part. Have you tried putting a 510 to 510 adapter between them to see what happens?

Also, and this may have nothing to do with it, but are you running RMS (No2) as opposed to AVG (No1)?

Thanks just mike. I'll propably get some of those o rings today as I'm going to the hardware store. I think I probably got a bum nova, I tried it on a buddy's battery and it did the same thing. I'll be contacting the seller for a new one.
Thanks fot the help everyone.

The washers are Black Plastic. If you go to home depot look in the plumbing section by the sinks not the hardware section like I did.

I've enjoyed three days with a Vamo and a griffin, but last night I had to replace a coil and.. Well, the night evaporated into a never-ending bout of coil-winding, installation, testing and reconnecting the blown coils remaining-loops..

Four times and four coils. Each started life at over 2ohms, and closer to 4. Each would have one semi-accurate reading, then lie - I'd then see .3ohm or so, or 9.9ohm and need to unwrap a loop to wire a conection.

I'll give the above (VAMO OHM Error FIX!) a test-run and get back with results.

Thanks, folks.

I think that grommet/o-ring fix may well be what I need.

Couldn't find #60 o-rings today, but I was vaping fine all morning with a mini-nova. When I got home, I rerigged the cleaned Griffin with a simple silica wick and 5/6 turns of 32ga Kanthal: worked great. A bit later, I noticed it wanting to wobble/rattle and tightened the Griffin down further. BANG! All the problems came right back.

Pulled wick and coil, rerigged, tightened - threaded an eGo/510 adapter between Griffin and Vamo: back in the saddle with complete functioning, (again).

It's not set-up as I want, but now I have the clues: I'll see about those o-rings later in the week.

Thanks, folks.
