I had this problem when I started with the vamo in the beginning. Turns out the problem wasn't with the vamo.

The legs of clearos are secured by the rubber grommet, rather than screws. Hence if I get varying resistance or 9.9ohms on the vamo, it always points to the legs not making good contact. You can try wriggling the post to "tighten" the fit. But a proper solution would be to recoil it and ensure the legs are straight and tight before inserting the rubber grommet and metal piece.

But remember to check the resistance before firing a new coil.

If you're new to vaping, then it may be best to change a new head instead. You can try recoiling it later when you have read more on it.
