Got my VAMO in!!! But---- the readings of my coil are WAY off. I've seen it from 2.1-5.9!!!

Sooo is the VAMO defective? I figure if this coil (newer kanger enclosed bdc) is not high quality it could be off, sure- but this is a bit out of control- wouldn't it consistently read the same resistance??

My MVP2 will vary, but not by more than .2 ohms.

Anyone else with this issue?

(Btw- when it's right, this thing hits beautifully!)

Ok, does this particular clearo give the same readings (all over the place) on the MVP2?

If there is a intermittant short in the wire coil, it can cause multiple ohm readings, bouncing from one reading to another.

If the performance is off and on, this also points to an intermittant short in the coil. Change the coil and your results will likely return to normal. If the same results occur with a new coil head, there may be something wrong with the Vamo.

Process of elimination, my friend.

Fair points across the board. I'll just sacrifice this coil. I guess the excitement of the new mod made me panic instead of do something about it.

MVP read 2.1 consistently. Put nautilus on and read 3.2 (2.1 on MVP). So I toss on the new coil and got 9.9 then the message "out off". Could my battery have given out? It's brand new and I'll admit I didn't wait for the trust fire to go green- but it did get a few hours and the reading on the VAMO was about 80%.

I'll try then other batter on full charge tomorrow.

The Vamo has a floating center pin that has a tendency to get crammed in too far, which prevents the center pin from making a good connection. This messes with its ability to read ohms.

If you look down into the 510 connection, you'll see it.

The only way to solve it completely is to replace the rubber grommet under the center pin.

To test to make sure this is the issue, remove the battery from the device, take some tweezers and pull the center pin back up, then insert the battery and put an atomizer on it. If it begins to read the ohms again, it is just the grommet not doing its job (which is to keep the center pin from sinking too low). When you screw on a different atomizer, the problem may reoccur. The grommet can be easily replaced. There is a thread on it somewhere, I'll try to locate it. =)

Good luck! My Vamo V5 did the same thing for awhile (now it just doesn't work at all, but that is a different, unrelated story lol).

Interesting thought Danny. Right now I'm leaning toward it being the connector on the aerotank. It's reads the nautilus fine. Sort of the way my MVP doesn't like some of my evod tanks. Odd. Anyway the aerotank is now on the MVP with no issues and nautilus on the VAMO. Will try another aerotank because I think I like it better than the nautilus.
