I was merrily vaping away whilst doing some work on my pc when all of a sudden I noticed the coils on my i clear 30 suddenly glow bright orange.I immedietly dropped the batteries out .I checked the button & when pressed it clicks on ok ,so I screwed on a different clearo & without even pressing the button, the clearo started hissing. So,my question is..Do I just need to pop said vamo in dustbin (sob!) or is there a cure for this problem.Someone asked for opinions on vamo's the other day & I proudly replied that I had mine for months & it was reliable (message to self -keep big gob shut in future!).any help appreciated ......depressed in france

It sounds like yours is stuck in mobile mode. Try this before dumping it. Remove the atta etc and start it up. Now hold down the right button (+) until you see it change to mobile mode. This mode is meant for use with a battery charger, using the Vamo as the power source.

Thanks for the advice, alas I think the vamo is done for.I tried holding the right button but that changes it from rms to mean.I checked it was on n°2 rms & stuck on a clearo.Even with the voltage set low at 3 volts it instantly hisses, which to me suggests that not only is the firing button stuck on but at a higher voltage than displayed. It's the nature of vaping, can't complain,it worked well for seven months....time to crack open the piggey bank!

I think Joecil might be on to something, I dimly recall hearing something about Vamos and autofiring.

There's a Fasttech thread on this topic here: Auto fire problem for sure.: FastTech Forums

could the fact that I've started stacking 350's been the cause of the board moving?ie a bit too much pressure on the pin in the tube pushing the board slightly.Perhaps grasping at straws but wouldn't like to make the same mistake twice.

Could be... button top, or flat tops?

There could also just be some gunk in there too....
