Hello Gang,

I recently got back into this to try once and for all to get off analog smokes... So, I went to my local vape shop and picked up a Vamo and the Kangertech Aerotank with airflow control. Sadly it still doesn't perform like I would like. The Areo tank is operating at about 2.1 to 2.0 ohms. I picked up a couple VooDoo tanks at the local gas station and sad to say the are a little bit better. They are operating at around 1.9 ohms. So it got me thinking how do I mod the Aero to perform at around 1.2 to 1.4 ohms. Well, I have read many posts and have watched many videos how to make this happen and so far all my attempts have failed. Once I make the coil and fit it into the base the Vamo displays 0.0 ohms. When I hit the power button I get the message under load or something like that. Is there a good read or video you could recommend that may help me figure out what I am doing wrong??? Any thoughts would be great!!!

Don't know the Vodo tank but do know the Aero tank. I've had two Vamo's. The Vamo will not go below 1.5 ohms. I am a big rebuilder. So I know a few rebuildables. First get an Ohm meter. Get either a simple meter available at radio shack or even WallyMart. Or get one of these: The Omnitester
I love my BDC's Bottom Dual coils. I have the Aerotank, Protank 3 and 3 Kayfuns. If you want to rebuild I'd got with either a Black Edition Kayfun V3, Fogger V4 or a Aqua RBA. In any case low resistance alone is not enough on a BCC or BDC unless you have the wattage and the mod to support it. The AeroTank is a dual coil. So you need to know this. If you have one that is 1.8 ohms it has two 3.6 ohm coils. So if your setting is for say 8 watts your only getting 4 watts per coil and you should be able to go to 8 watts per coil with out burning the juice. So try your Aerotank at the 12 or 15 watt setting. Cant remember the max wattage on the Vamo. That should give you a lot of vapor. FYI there are a lot of videos on how to rebuild those coils but know this you need so special wire to do it right. It's called NR-R-NR wire. It has no/low resistance wire on each end of regular resistance wire. Otherwise you burn the insulators and waste some wattage. Try that before you go into the realm of low res or sub ohm. BDC's are not made for it.
Hope this helps. If you have more questions post them. There are no stupid questions.
