I've had my stainless vamo v2 for about a month now and absolutely LOVE IT. it's everything I've ever wanted for a mod although I wished the top unscrewed like on the upcoming v3 because the well is a pain to clean. that's my only complaint until yesterday. I've been using carto tanks for the last month and just hadn't dripped because my 808 was getting weak but did still work a bit. I decided I wanted to drip some new mixes and that's when the trouble started. In the past day I have gone through TWO 3ohm 306's and THREE 2ohm 808 attys. They vape once and then on the second pull are DEAD. I'm not sure what's going on because my 2 ohm single coil carto tanks are still working great. I've been using my tanks in No2 mode at 8watts with the tanks. Even at 3watts it burned out the last 808 I tried although it did last 3 vapes with the resistance of the 808 atty going up each vape. All these attys were bought on sale from madvapes so i'm not sure if they just got a bad batch and were put on sale in hopes that some would work enough that people wouldn't complain or if there is a problem with my vamo. if I was burning out my cartos/everything I put on the vamo i'd know there was definitely a problem with my vamo. So I guess i'm just curious if anyone else has had issues with unusual numbers of attys burning out on the vamo v2. I'm really hoping I just got a bad batch of attys, but the the fact it's doing it on 306's and 808s isn't good.

I've been exclusively running my AMP Tanks with Cisco spec atties on my two VAMOs since I got them the last week of March and first week of April. I even give the atties a very quick dry burn after every tank (shhh, don't tattle on me to Hanna). No dead atties yet, knock on wood.

Did you try using any of the atties from your Mad Vapes order on any other PV?

I guess we can assume you're also using NO2 mode for your 306 and 808 atty's?

It's strange that you're able to use everything else on your Vamo without problems. Personally, I have never burnt any delivery device out on any of my Vamos. Single coil drippers, DC cartos, clearos, and all rebuildables work fine on my Vamos.

Even at 3watts it burned out the last 808 I tried although it did last 3 vapes with the resistance of the 808 atty going up each vape.
I can't imagine you'd get much vapor vaping 3 watts? Almost sounds like you're in NO1 mode.

UPDATE: So today I decided to try a 4th 808 and IT'S WORKING :vapor:. So i'm guess I just had a day of bad attys.

I was pretty cautious though and this time I put it on the vamo just to check the resistance (2ohms). then I put it on my epower which it worked, then I put it on my vamo in voltage mod just in case it was the wattage mod that was the problem. I started at the lowest voltage and once I got up to 4.5 volts I decided to switch to wattage. anyway it's working great in No2 wattage mode at 8watts so i'm a happy camper who just happened to have FIVE bad attys in one day. I only drip to taste new mixes so unfortunately what I though was going to be months worth of attys are garbage. I haven't ruled out that the vamo might be an issue so I'll probably test all my attys on the epower first until I fell comfortable with the vamo and new attys again. This 808 should last me a while with very little use and now there is a thread in case anyone has the same problem. I know I didn't find anything when I searched the forums. We'll see.

Not unusual at all considering the quality control on attys. I normally use Smoktech double punched 3.0 Ohm flanged XL tank cartos in my Artemas tanks and received a new box of 5 last week. Four out of the 5 were defective in that even with a super prime and letting the tank sit for several hours before vaping, the coils tasted burned. Opened another pack and all is well. I blame it on the quality control and tend to think the coils were not up to specs, because I have been using these for months, priming them very well, letting the tanks sit and absorb the e-juice before vaping and setting my Vamo at 3.5 Volts all of the time, and yes mine is in NO2 mode, not NO1.

I just have to mention this, because I've seen not only OP, but others in other threads making this error.

"I tried running it in No2 wattage mode"

"No2" is RMS mode. It has nothing to do with wattage mode. You should always have your VAMO in No2 RMS. it is an error in design that they eve have an option to run in either AVG or RMS.

Maybe you already know this, but for others reading this thread that see "No2 wattage mode", I don't want there to be confusion.

Ha my bad I guess I should of phrased it better. I've tried it in No2 with wattage mode. aka 2 settings not saying No2 is wattage mode.

Anyway.. *UPDATE*
Last week I decided to drip again and sure enough that 808 I got to work on my last update burned out on my vamo. a 306 that worked on my epower burned out on my vamo and then my last try for my vamo ANOTHER 808 burned out on my vamo that worked on my epower. So I've officially given up on dripping with my vamo until I get my next batch of attys and then i'll be very cautious. i'll look into rebuildable attys.
