vamo v5 battery help.

Been reading all day and can not find a answer to my question. I own a vamo v5 currently use a 1.2 coil with a 2000mah 10amp battery. My question is if buying a 30amp battery will create more/ hotter vapor? I've read the mah means it'll last longer but I can't find a definitive answer on amps. I currently vape at full power(15watts) on a kraken 1.2o triple twisted 32g kanthal coil and it just isn't giving me the burn I like or clouds. Just wondering how to get the most out of my vamo. Any advice is greaaaaatly appreciated guys and thank you in advance

That's just about the best you're gonna get with a regulated mod. If you're not satisfied with what you're getting now, you'll have to go with a mechanical mod and use lower resistance coils. The Vamo has built-in amp limits/protective circuitry which prevents you to go much lower than the resistance you're currently using. This is one of the reasons many mech users use a mechanical mod - to bypass the protection circuits and amp limits of a regulated mod so that they can build sub-ohm coils.

Using a 30 amp battery will not create more/hotter vapor in a regulated mod. The power output is going to be limited by the top limit of the circuit board no matter how many amps the battery has to give. I believe that would be 5 amps with the Vamo (?).

You could add more Vg (vegetable glycerin) to your e-liquids for more vapor production. Add more nicotine for more of a throat hit.

Recall that V=IR. The voltage seen by the coil can be adjusted by your Vamo to 6 Volts. Dividing by your coil resistance gives a current of 5 Ampere. The Vamo also has a current limit of 5 Amps, so the answer to your question is no.

Baditude has suggested that the circuitry in the Vamo uses a lot of current to step voltage up from peak battery levels of 3.7 to 4.2 and that high drain batteries may be advisable for safety, but that is not current that your coil will ever see.

Using the power setting just permits the voltage to vary with different coil loads/resistances to give you a certain power. Power(watts)=V^2/R. So 15W=V^2/1.2, which yields a voltage of 4.2. So, at 15W, you are pulling 3.2 Ampere.

Completely safe and completely no need for high drain batteries (unless it is to power the voltage regulation circuit).

Just so you see, a mech mod runs a peak voltage usually of 4.2 (check it with that multimeter!). V=IR, so 4.2/.8 gives you your constant current drain of 5.25. That's a very safe arrangement for the most part.

But the lower you go, the more current you are going to need and the more you will need that high drain battery. 0.5 Ohms is where things start to get critical.

If you are maxing out the vamo, then a 30 amp batt will give you longer run time than a 10 amp batt. At max watts, the 10 amp will stop powering once volts drop below 3.9. With a 30 amp, you'll be able to run at max watts till about 3.5 volts. Just more usable power with a 30 amp batt.

mah ratings can only be compared to like amp batts. It's not the number to compare unless you are on the same amp rating, otherwise it's pretty meaningless.

The build wick and air supply is where clouds are found. Mechs and high amp regulated is the cloud chaser's domain.

1.0 ohm = 4.2 amp draw
0.9 ohm = 4.6 amp draw
0.8 ohm = 5.2 amp draw
0.7 ohm = 6 amp draw
0.6 ohm = 7 amp draw
0.5 ohm = 8.4 amp draw
0.4 ohms = 10.5 amp draw
0.3 ohm = 14.0 amp draw
0.2 ohm = 21.0 amp draw

0.1 ohm = 42.0 amp draw

And listen to baditude about batteries. Everything I've learned about batteries I've learned from him. He is the reason I purchased Panasonic 18650PF's for my VTR and VTC5/4 for my mech mods.

No... The VAMO will adjust its PulseWidth to try and keep it at 15W...
