I am new here, so I had to post on the New Member Forum.
I need help. My VAMO V5 is set to RMS. I am not sure what type tank I have (see picture), but It doesnt vape well and it burns the liquid in about an hour. The guy at the vape store said this coil should last a month, I changed mine after 1 day because of the burned taste. (this is the 2nd tank I got from them because I had the same experience with the first tank I purchased.. :/) So, I changed the coil (atomizer, I change it from the bottom) and same thing, after an hour or two, it vapes less and the taste is burned, it changes the almost clear liquid color to dark brown. the liquid is 50/50 PG/VG.. It shows 2.2 omhs and I run on 3.5-3.9 V.
Please help!

There is something wrong with your Vamo V5, because the voltage output currently set is set for a 1.5 ohm coil. With a 2.2 ohm coil you should be able to use 4.2 to 4.7 volts without getting burnt taste or burnt juice. Put your Vamo in voltage only and 3.9 volts and go up from there.

you could also be getting dry hits...but a 50/50 should wick fine unless your wick is defective.

Greetings Kylesalone and welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your grief, but you'll get some help on this thread to solve the problem.

A 2.2 oHm coil at under 4 volts should not be giving you a burning taste at all unless, as suggested above, you have a top coil clearomizer and are not keeping the wicks saturated. If you can see wicks at the top of the tank, that's a top coil, and you'll need to tip back your E-Cig from time to time to keep those wicks wet with e-liquid.

With the Vamo, lots of users go with the VW setting (rather than VV); not a huge deal necessarily, but it should keep the vape constant regardless of coil resistance.

Have you thought about trying a different sort of clearomizer, as a last ditch solution?
