Hello! I just received my shiny new Vamo V5 in the mail today. Right away I noticed something about the unit, the buttons on it seem to wiggle and shake quite a bit. It doesn't seem like they are in any danger of falling out, and it doesn't affect their usability in the least bit...but I am just a bit worried about it. If this is a usual thing, then I don't really care. Is it common for this to happen on the V5?

I also had another issue with it, but I realized that it was the batteries that were causing those problems. The Vamo would turn off and not turn on unless I took them off and put them back in to make it work. (Trustfire really sucks!!!)

FYI:

Any "-Fire" battery (TrustFire, etc) is an ICR battery. This battery chemistry usually has around a 2C rating - 2 x mAh = maximum current available; but also has a protection circuit (usually) in place that may limit the maximum available current.

VAMOs, and other regulated mods which use a single battery, require adequate current to boost the output voltage above the actual battery voltage. This is why IMR batteries are recommended for all mods, not just mech mods. IMR batteries will typically have a minimum rating of 8C.

Not true. Trustfire has been producing IMRs for over a year. I wouldn't buy one though based on experience learned during Trustfire's ICR days.

Button rattle is no big deal, the buttons are actually larger on the inside than what you see, so they will not just fall out.
As to your batteries... ^ The advice was given up a few posts.. But.. make sure you do not get protected batteries as these do not play well with the Vamo's built in protection.
