I have a few questions on a Vamo I received yesterday. This is my first VW and IMR battery device.

1. If looking at the device the + button on the right seems to be shorter than the left - button, both work fine. Just curious if its suppose to be like that.

2. I am using a nautilus mini bvc 1.8. I've looked at watt charts most say 8.5 watts is too high for 1.8 but I see a lot of people running them or Rdas with lower ohms much higher if I try say 9.5 to 10.5 I end up getting a dry burnt taste with no flavor.

3. On the batteries, can I recharge them if they aren't completely dead, say one gets down to 1/2 -1/4 left putting it on the charger to top it off. They are AW IMR 18650 2200MAH & a 18350 700MAH

thanks,
Adam

Probably just the way the board was laid inside the tube, so one is inset a tad more. No big deal.

RDAs, Kayfuns and so on have (generally) a lot more air flow than the smaller clearos, better wickiing, and so on, allowing for higher wattages. Without that air flow, you will get dry, burnt hits. The key with any topper is to start low and go up in steps, watts or volts, your preference. Step up until it starts to taste bad, then back off a step or two.

While the low voltage shut-down is probably around 3.2 volts, I generally rotate in fresh ones when I hit around 3.5 - 3.6. Partly so I don't get surprised :) And partly because it's actually better for them, and will enhance their service life. Running them too low (your Vamo will prevent that, but it's a concern for mechanical users) can render them incapable of being recharged.

And if you've burned the wick in your clearo, you'll likely need to replace the coil to get rid of the taste...
