Ok, post number 3...2 more to go. ;)

So I ordered a Vamo V5 from fasttech. Now after reading all the stuff about fasttech I am aware that I probably won't see it until April sometime, but am more worried about it not being an actual Vamo.

In other news I got my Protank 3 yesterday and am loving it. Want more...need more...will probably get me some more.

Own a Vamo V2 and V3 from FastTech. Vamo V2 is 11 months old and button a little wonky. V3 4+ months and works great. Paid $88.00 for both V2 and V3 including an itelli charger and 2 genuine Panasonic Batts= a great deal. They are genuine BUT quality on the Vamo is hit and miss. It will:
- last for a year.
- have issues almost immediately.
- have issues after a couple of months.

I'm not a fan of vamo. My husband bought one when he first started vaping, and it broke about 6 weeks later. Now it just doesn't work at all. For about the same amount, maybe a little more, I use a provari. Well worth the little extra money.

Like any APV, a certain number will have issues. Many of us who use Vamo's have not experienced what your husband did. But your example of a Provari being the same cost or a little more is kind-of laughable. I can buy 5 - 6 Vamo's for the cost of a Provari.

Don't worry about it not being an "actual" vamo, the makers of the vamo 1 probably knocked of the vamo 5 themselves - I got my 1st Vamo2 from a US online vendor and my second Vamo2 from Fasttech - the Fasttech one was much, much better quality of build and finish (both were stainless steel models)

And yes, unfortunately shipments from China are very slow right now (I ordered from Fasttech in Sept got it in 16 days - took Fasttech 3 days to ship, 2 days to LA, 11 days from LA to western South Dakota via Miami, then Chicago, then Minneapolis, then Denver, then Sioux Falls, then Rapid City - and we wonder why USPS raises postage so much more often then they used to)

this last order I made took Fasttech 4 days to post pic of shipment package and unfortunately we need to ask Fasttech to track packages now (does this mean they are sending us fake photo's of the package and shipping label so they can stall or is just that the Chinese post has been bribed by big pharma and big tobacco to make us get frustrated and go back to Nicorette and/or smoking - does anyone have an eliquid recipe that will get rid of my paranoid conspiracy issues?)

I have 2x Vamo V3's, my wife doesn't like the big cigar tube, but mine is rocking like a champ...no problems at all

I really like eGo threaded heads...ordered several from FT, they fit much better than 510 threaded devices, don't wobble as much, and have alot more thread contact area than 510, not saying I don't use 510 threaded devices but I am really liking eGo threaded clearos and tanks.

I am currently sitting at my desk, I have 4 rigs going right now, Vamo V3, MVP2, USB passthru and "The Natural" with a 18500 FT kick and AGA-T2 (that I won on FB)...all are working like a champ, I even "retired" my Vamo V3 to the "vaping" tackle box...but pulled it out because even thought he vape is different from the MPV2 or (from what I hear) a Provari it still vapes very very good

It is a GREAT budget introductory rig, they work well.

Don't worry it is the real deal. I've been using my Vamo V5 (From Fasttech) for a little over 30 days. It's not my favorite mod but it gets the job done. In fact I found that my tridents work on the Vamo when I couldn't fit them on my SVD. It feels like it hits a bit harder too. The fire button is a little wobbly, same as my Zmax mini but not a thing that would keep you from really enjoying your new Vamo. I got my order from Fasttech in less than 2 weeks.

Was wondering the same where is this Provari stockist? :D

Re: Vamo they are sold in large quantity's so there will be x amount that have issues just like any other product on the market, i purchased the v5 APV month and half ago and apart from the right button not clicking it's a great stable work horse, now is used as secondary device since wanted to go lower than 1.3ohms so using a UDT-v9 with Kick 2 but the Vamo still gets it's fair share of vape.

Just recently ordered an SVD from Fasttech. Only took 10 days from the day I placed order, to arrive at my house near Dallas. No batteries or juice though. That's what seems to slow things down.

Like my Vamo 3 much better though. The Vamo has got to be the best starter APV there is, IMO. You have to be carefull with the threads though. No ham fisted husbands allowed. lol.

best regards, larry mac

I definitely recommend Vamo to anyone wanting to try a mod. I loved mine...it was a V2. The 510 connector on the V2 was made out of silly putty I think. It wore out after about a month. That really bummed me out. I've heard they're using better metal on the V3's and up which is great news. I still don't understand how provari gets mentioned in a Vamo thread. They're totally different. VV/VW vs VV....$50 vs $150...different signals.....different Vape all together . I have several provaris now and probably won't go back to a Vamo but its a great mod and priced right. I'd be mad if I was considering a $50 mod and someone told me I needed a $150 one. You don't. ProVari is absolutely worth every cent they charge, but its a totally different investment. You'll love your Vamo....congratulations!

CloudChasingRN, can you tell me where you purchased your provari? I was looking at the Vamo until I saw this post and you mentioned that you purchased it for not much more $ than the Vamo. I really want the provari vs the vamo, but can't afford what I have seen them listed for. Thanks in advance!

Unless it was a overly used one on classifieds or someone who sold one for virtually nothing, you won't find a provari for ANYWHERE NEAR as cheap as a vamo....ever.

Can save yourself 10% on one today though!
