Need info on V7 not a comparison on other models :p

Sorry Gun. I merely wanted to point out that my V6 isn't experiencing any of the funky issues that leads you to think that the V7 "fixes" those issues.... And to others' points, I'm sure it depends on manufacture. Also the phase of the moon, and whether or not the person putting it together has a hangover (jk of course) But, no one device will ever be 100% reliable - there's always that element of a single component having a bad day, and it being the 0.003% failure probability that can cause the whole kit and kaboodle to crash.

For the $21 you paid, I don't think it will be a waste. Lots of people had poo-poohed getting kayfun (clones) from fasttech. I got a couple over the summer, and they were well-made, and the only problem I have with them is I can't always wick them properly. Especially the cheapy first one I got that didn't have any airflow control. That's on me, not on the device itself.

Even if it does crap out, that's probably what, 4-5 packs of cigarettes that you would have gone through in less than a week?

Hopefully it works well for you - then you can give yourself a high-five for a good deal :)

No worries, I just saw a pattern emerging and I wanted to nip it at the root. I know looking at other/older models makes sense but I was hoping to hear more from owners of V7 and how theirs has held up.

Agreed about manufacturer and whether or not a worker was awake or happy about putting it together. With these sorts of things that are put together by people and not machines... it puts me between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, machines are precise but takes away jobs, and on the other, people are extremely unreliable (or we can at least agree to say that their error ratios might be higher then that of a machine doing a simple task.). I'd rather have a solid machine built vamo with 99% accuracy then a human with like 87% accuracy give or take weather conditions, marital status etc. etc. etc....

I think certain things should be left to machines.

but the big question is: what gets damaged when the vamo falls and starts acting funny?

Can never tell. The wiring could pop a solder joint, the connector could get damaged, it could go into several pieces. In fairness, this isn't limited to the vamo. There are many people who have dropped their several-hundred-dollar provari or itaste 134 only to see the 510 connector snap. I have no issue with the vamo as a cheaper regulated device that can pump out some watts -- you just have to know it isn't built like an MVP or such which I often toss in the backpack. IF you already have other kit as a backup, or another, you should be OK.

Wise. :) Vaping can be as expensive or cheap as you want it to be.

    No you can't
Won't this raise the connection to a point were no atty or carto looks flush on the device?

    Thanx for the suggestion btw

Yes it will add 1/2 inch to the length. I keep it on my vamo V5 all the time since Aug and for the first time my vamo is trouble free - the brass 510 connector is the weakness of the vamo's I lost two during the years. I'm now looking to get another soon as I make up my mind which one.

So are there any owners of a V7 that are passing through this thread? I'd like to hear about your xp with the Vamo V7.

There probably are, but they'll probably never see this thread nor your request at the end of it. Suggest searching the forum and/or making a new thread over in the APV section now that you're over the post hump. ;)
