Hey guys, I'm pretty new here but I'm looking to upgrade my vape (Ego V6) to something affordable with an LCD. The two mentioned in the title got my attention because they're both under 50$, but I heard the GS Sub has bad build quality. anyone who can help me out would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Vamo ViVi or GS Sub 2.0?

I just purchased the vamo v2, and, so far, I love it. I recently moved up from an eGo twist. I enjoy the vamo because it is variable voltage and variable wattage. I have grown to love the variable wattage option. I currently has my kanger protank on my vamo, and I am impressed on flavor, vapor production, and look. I, also, have a vivi nova tank, and I have ran that on the nova and I like that too, The protank is just new and I wanted to change it up a bit. I don't know much about the GS sub, so I can't say anything about it. The vamo does have a solid feel. Some people say it is heavy and bulky, but it doesn't bother me. I run a single 18350 because if I was to get the tube extender then I feel the vamo would be big and bulky.

i will suggest use vamo vv 1st for beginner because it has protection rather that GS Sub 2.0 that is mechanical mode that sometimes can cause you a problem if u misused it =)
The Vamo has far more options than the GS Sub 2.0 in regards to VW. Very easy to navigate menu. I'm quite thrifty but am considering purchasing another Vamo V2.
Just ordered the GS sub......will likely be here in the next couple days. My co-worker/buddy has the Vamo so maybe i can do a comparison!

I have a Vamo I got it for 2 reasons on It is VV and VW and can also tell me what ohm my coil is. It also has safe guards built into the device. the draw back is you are wanting to do some coil of you own the Vamo will not work on anything with less then 1.2ohm reading. I started with the Vamo it is a great choice for the money. If it is you First Mod you cant go wrong with something that is VV or VW just to give you control over your power. Some juice burns easy and some can take the heat being able to find the sweet spot with a VV VW device will make it allot nicer on you Flavors you didn't like much will taste different with different volt.

Personally speaking, I've found that lower resistance heads tend to crud up more quickly, causing juice discoloration and degradation of flavour.
I wind my own heads using kanthal wire and pure cotton wick in my Vivi Nova tank hooked up to a Vamo mod. Having it set in variable wattage mode and dialled in to 5 - 6 watts a 2.4-2.6ohm head will vape much much better than a 1.6-1.8ohm head on the same wattage setting.
Therefore I really don't understand why anyone would want to use heads with a resistance lower than 2 ohms, and I think the Vamo is amazing value for money.

I have a Vamo, and I couldn't be happier. In fact, after I get my husband one, I want to get another as a backup, and possibly the Vamo3 also. Def reliable, easy to use, and affordable. Plus it looks great, and is easy to decorate to your style.
I run Boge f16 tanks and boge XL carto 1.8 ohm at 3.7 and love it but I have kanger tanks that are 2.4 ohm and have to kick up the volt to get my vape on with them. You are correct I don't see the hole sub ohm vaping as for anything but making a personal fog device it is not about taste at that point. I like it between 1.5 and 1.8 but that is just me if you like higher ohm go with that if you like lower go with that. The vamo will make it easy to switch devices with different ohms

I have a 1.8 ohm head on my vivi nova and I run it around 5 watts. I also have a kanger protank and I run that at 5.5 watt. I agree with you. The nova tank doesn't hit as good as the protank. I have 2 extra 1.8 ohm heads for the nova, and I am considering re coiling those to 2.4 to 2.6 ohm. I am new to the vv and vw so I had left over heads form my eGo battery. The flavor and throat hit is much more evident when I have the protank on my vamo.
I don't have any experience with the G6 but I do have a Vamo V2. It was love at first vape...

Definitely get the VAMO over the GS Sub 2.0. It is a proven, reliable performer and offers both variable watts (VW) as well as variable volts (VV). The GS Sub 2.0 only is VV. For most people VW is an easier, more convenient option.
The VAMO comes in chrome and stainless. The chrome is a fingerprint magnet and will wear around the fire button so I would recommend the stainless. Fast Tech currently has a great kit for an excellent price, Vamo-Vivi Stainless Steel Voltage Adjustable E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Panasonic 18650 batteries. Yup and yup...Can't go wrong with a vamo or fasttech. I have ordered several items from them. The kit in the above post is the best for sure because you get the high quality batteries and charger. Wish this kit was sold when I bought my vamo...
Thank you all, I've decided to go with the VV, I'll let you all know how I like it but seems it's a given that I'll love it
