My Infinity died again and I have no interest in getting it fixed again (way too many issues with it). I would really like a cheap VV device with the following features.

Dedicated voltage/power adjustment buttons or dials (not interested in one button "Provari" like set-up).
Variable wattage would be nice but not necessary.
Can handle juice leakage (what ultimately killed my Infinity the second time).
I would like a finish that does not get scratched up easily (big problem with the smoktek items I've owned).

Both the Vamo and the Lambo look interesting. Are there any other models I should be looking at?

Where can you get a Young June?

zainy.net varitube.com and free-cigs.com

ordered my black chrome from free-cigs because its an updated model with a push pin style battery connector like the lambo but it also has an ohm reader, should be in friday so i cant comment on fit and finish yet but im sure somebody will jump in lol

Actually, I didn't want the push pin. Too concerned with juice gunking up the mechanics or leaking through and ruining the electronics (what happened to my Infinity). I think I'm going to go with the VAMO so I know what I'm going to get.

I have had a vamo for about about 2 weeks, and I love this thing. I have tried several different VV devices before and this one tops them all. I started out with the ego-booster device that attached to regular ego batteries, then went to knock off egos with 3 voltage selections, then the ego twist, then to the VV gripper then back to the twists (which after being an ego user practically my whole vaping life, I still can't support due to having 2 out of 3 break WAY too easily), and now have the vamo. So that's my laundry list of devices tried. I can't speak to the liquids, as I don't drip, and my tanks don't leak. But it is very solid as it's all metal (this is what will kill the gripper methinks, it's all plastic, and cheaply made). Buttons feel very solid, great LCD screen, and very simple to operate. It has some very minor issues like some of the first releases had too small of an internal hole causing possible shorts (I call this minor because it has been fixed with larger holes and gaskets), and the spring is a little too weak to use flat top 18650s. Works fine with button top 18650s and flat top 18350s, so it's not too big of a deal. But it does support average and RMS, so it's just as accurate as a Provari for about 1/3 the price. Hope that helps, and you get more info about the lambo. I can't speak for that one personally.

Definitely going with the Vamo. I just need to figure out where to order from. Zainy has excellent prices but their customer service is a question mark (some say it's good while others say they do not respond to e-mails). Health Cabin seems to be the only Chinese based company that really understands the importance of customer service (plus they have a really interesting snake drip tip that I want), though they are more expensive than Zainy (after shipping is paid, the savings aren't all that great from US stores). I'm not fond of the color of the buttons from Okcvapes (at least the buttons in the picture) and I'm not sure which version they carry or even if they have any stock (they claim pre-order only).

How long does shipping from China take?

Try calling this store, which is where I got mine at: Flavor Vapor I picked it up locally as I live nearby, but their website is still under construction as they're pretty new, so phone orders work best. Mine is the same as shown in my avatar, chrome with black buttons. If you call, ask to speak to Andrew, tell him GIMike sent you and that you'll hula hoop over the phone for them if they have one in stock and see what they say :)

I've had my Vamo for a week, and so far, I give it higher marks overall than any other APV I own, and I have a ton of them: ProVari, BuzzPro, iPro, Vmax, Acrylimax (like a Zmax), four Young-June Vtubes, two Kicks (Omega and Bolt), five Twists, many VV boxes (14 in all, including a fantastic Altoids tin mod by Caged that uses two 18650s). In fairness, I like all my APVs, but the Vamo has currently taken over the top spot on the list.

Criticisms? The center pin inside the tube (where the battery top makes connection) is slightly off-centered on my particular unit. Materials used production quality may not be quite up to the "industrial strength" standard of the ProVari---I can't speak to the durability/longevity question, because it's new. And yes, the Vamo has that faux eGo top assembly with a drip well but no outer eGo threading (meaning that Kanger T2/T3s require an eGo-to-510 adapter). So, no, it's not perfect. But the list of positives is impressive:

• solid, feels good in the hand
• hefty weight, with no battery or switch rattling
• high-res display that's bright and easy to read
• intelligent design, with no funky menu dance to change settings/parameters
• displays atty/carto/clearo resistance by simply holding down the + button for 3 seconds
• displays remaining battery voltage by simply holding down the – button for 3 seconds
• dual mode operation---variable voltage (VV) or variable power/wattage (VW)
• dual calibration setting---Vavg or Vrms (accuracy in Vrms is as good as ProVari for volts and Kicks for watts)
• 5-amp limit provides ample headroom
• three different battery configurations without having to buy any additional extensions or caps.

All that for $50??? (now on pre-order from OKCvapes.com)

What more do you want?

I ordered mine from Health Cabin Thursday night and received it Monday (Hong Kong to Texas). They use DHL which has a pretty good online tracking service. Some people have mentioned delays due to customs but luckily that hasn't happened to any of my orders. Loving my Vamo so far and as others have mentioned you can't beat the price for what you get. Nice introduction to the world of variable wattage.

yeah, mine should be here in a couple days... okcvapes had to send theirs back due to that v1 type issue, so they are awaiting new shipments... i called and they have no idea when the new shipments are coming in... HOWEVER... i called the flavor vapor store (link in post #11), and while not listed on their website, they do/did have the newer versions in stock... they were more than happy to ship and said the website is a work in progress and they hope to have it on there soon... i can't wait to get this thing in my hands... along with my new aga-t tanks, 500 mesh, and kanthal... if i'm lucky, they will all arrive at the same time... :D

*edit* it also looks like "smoketek" is carrying them as well... although a bit more expensive...

@ seven and seven, can you provide a link? They dont list a vamo but have a pic for one on the eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 (Only Body). The text says the pic doesnt match the product.

eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 (Only Body) [D-B4 APV] - $39.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

That is the Vamo and the same one I ordered. Health Cabin is just using the description in the title instead of saying it's a Vamo. Sounds like a few other vendors have started to carry them as well. Smoktek calls it a Vamo on their website.
