So, I just got the vmod. I like it alot. I never thought I would say this but I think it is hitting too good. I have been using my eGo tank with a HR atty. I like it but wanted to upgrade. I am finding that the vmod hits very dry and hot with not much flavor. I am using the atty it came with and also tried the 1.8 that I bought with it and a 14500 battery. Any suggestions on what I can do to get a tighter pull and higher resistance with more flavor. The juice I have used is 70/30 & 50/50. Normally very flavorful juices. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi deez!

Well, I have been using mine with 2 14250 batteries (6.4 volts) and a 2.8 hybrid atty and it hits really hot but has very, very flavorful vapor (and tons of it). But if you don't feed it every third hit, you get a nasty dry, burnt hit. It eats juice like crazy and I'm having to recharge the batts constantly. Luckily, the little guys recharge pretty fast.

Today I put a 14500 battery in it instead, and while I like not having to feed it as much and appreciate that it isn't eating juice like mad, the hit is drier and the vapor not as flavorful. I was wondering about trying the lower resistance atties/silos but apparently you're not having luck with that, either.

Word of warning: If you do try the 2 14250's, Don't use anything lower than a 2.8 atty. You'll fry them like I fried mine. :(

Hello all...I've been using my Vmod for a couple of weeks now and I love it! I'd like to thank everyone here for their quick responses which helped me to get it operating correctly. My reason for posting today is because I have a problem. I've been off of analogs and vaping for about 3-4 months now after a 20 year pack a day habit and I feel great and my family is ecstatic. And then, 2 weeks ago right when I had just gotten to a point where I have no desire for analogs, I lost my job. Seems some idiot at the corporate office thought that it would be a good idea to phase out my position because I didn't get on board with all of his asinine ideas. So, here I am unemployed, stresssed out and REALLY craving a cigarette. Now, at the moment I'm vaping, but I'm on my last 5ml bottle of juice. I would really hate to compound my current issues by going back to smoking again. I'm sure that I'll find a new job(hopefully sooner, than later) but right now money is tight and I can't stomach putting my burden on my wife and family.
So, I'm asking that if anyone has any juice that they dont like (no matter how disgusting you think it is), juice thats too strong/weak, anything really. Beggars can't be choosy. I give my word to anyone who can help that as soon as my situation improves I will gladly compensate you accordingly. If anyone can help please contact me. Thanx in advance for your assistance.

I'd send you some, as well...but mine are usually zero to 6mg nicotine. Keep posting so you meet your post requirement, like Almighty said.

Thank you soo very much AG and Pheisty. When you figure out what you're going to send don't forget to figure a price for me so that I can pay you when my situation improves. I will begin posting so that I can receive private messages. Thank you both again.

I wouldn't dream of it. Consider it a gift. I've had people help me in the past, so I'd just be paying it forward. :) You're so very welcome.

Thanks for your quick response. I tried getting the 2.8's but they were out of stock so I guess I will have to save that for next time.
As for the 14250's i am afraid that would defeat the whole purpose of getting this low maintenance device if I have to carry around and change the batts every couple hours. I really do appreciate your advice. Someday I will pick up those batteries. I am thinking about pulling out the filler in the attys and seeing if the dryness goes away. I was thinking this thing would taste just like dripping. I don't understand why it totally distorts the flavor.

No problem!

And I definitely don't recommend the stacked 14250's. WAY too much trouble, as you indicated. :)

I actually have a LR atty on it right now and am dripping onto it until my other attys get here. The vapor is sooooo awesome! Much better flavor, too. I wonder why you're having trouble, as I think mine are at 1.7. You wouldn't think it would be that significant of a difference, eh? Weird.

deer --- atty's will taste a lot more like dripping. I use both carto and atty and like the differences. I think most will agree that atty produces more flavor.

If you are finding the ones you are using too hot and dry -- try higher ohm. The 2.8 silos are far from dry.

The 2.5 ohm atty with the 14500 batteries should be closer to what you are used to. Also, I think someone mentioned for you to try soaking the atty for a bit -- say 1/2 hour with 6 or 7 drops. It seems to help was has been called "break in" of the atty.

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you bottom feed a regular atty without the filler? Is it a mess? Don't try it on my behalf if you haven't already I would imagine it might get ugly. :)

The Vmod uses the Silo cartomizers and Bottom Feeder Hybrid Atomizers, because they have the feed slots at the base of the barrel..right there at the connection. This is how the juice gets into the carto or atty. Regular bottom feeders would feed throught the hole in the center pin on the bottom. Regular cartos and attys would need to be modified to work correctly on the Vmod.

Yes, thank you I think I will try soaking it. I read up on that after the fact. The highest I have now is the 2.0 hybrid I'm gonna soak it now and see whats up. You people on here rock!

Okay -- we have a potential terminology confusion here --- carto's have filler. atty's don't.

Bottom feeding PV's are often, perhaps usually, used with regular atty's. The VMod is designed a little differently than other bottom feeding PV's and has a unique feed system. The atty that works well with it is the Vapage Hybrid Bottom Feeding Atty. The kit comes with Silo Carto's, which are made for it as well.

OMG!! I just popped on the hybrid while the silo is soaking and its like night and day! Holy ....!
I didn't realize the hybrid had no filler. This thing worked just as I had hoped! Thank you all!
