Hey Tina!! Where ya been?? Great to see you back! Seems like your a big gotvapes customer like me. I'm starting to have a flavor issue with my Vivi. The first two tanks were great but now on the third tank the flavor is a bit lacking. I saw a video where a guy removed one of the wicks & he said it made a big difference. Might try that. I've been thinking about ordering some Phoenix's. You think they're pretty good, huh?

So it was YOU with the black pepper!!! LOL.. I love that stuff! It's perfect when you're sick o the fruity stuff and just need a little break from it. ECB is my go-to place for juice. But I didn't care for the manna,, I didn't get apple pie out of it at all!! But I do kinda like the vanilla gorilla too.

There's so many ways to go with the batts.. I'll be interested to see how you like that twist. It's vv isn't it?? I'm lovin my lavatube for the vv. but I'm constantly changing voltage,, trying to find that one perfect spot!!

A little over an hour and I'm free!! And I'm sleepin in tomorrow (like I don't do that every day ). Maybe I'll sit around in my Jammie's and drink TWO pots of coffee ;)

I don't seem to have wicking problems. I've never had a dry hit,, it's the lack of flavor that's bugging me. Cripes, why can't somebody make something that just works without having to mess around with it!! I think I need to get a couple more stardusts.

HEY. I forgot to tell you guys... I ordered another KGO kit tonight for one of our ER nurses. And juice from ECB for her. That's twice this week!! I should get a commission!! Oh hell, even some free Cartos or juice would be cool! Brent, if you're out there... I've sent a lot of business your way!! ;)

if you go to the Vivi thread on the gotvapes forum, there are people that are doing things like rewinding wicks and trimming rubber thingies to give it more air and improve the flavor. I'm not into all that....trimming the wicks was as far into modding as I have ventured lol. Like you I want to buy something, fill it and vape. I'll even pay a little more if I know it will WORK and last a reasonable amount of time.

Well kids.. just got home from work and put the Vivi on my LT.. definitely not loving it. And it was so darn good on the first fill! How disappointing. I started reading that thread, tina, but got totally overwhelmed!! You did what??? I do not want to go through all that to make this thing work!! There's four wicks and I saw a video one guy did.. he took the top wick out and it looked pretty easy,, I might give that a shot. It's funny,, I can tinker with a million dollar piece of equipment at work but I simply do NOT want to tinker with a $15 piece of vape equipment.. WTH??? I've got one fluxo that I kept.. traded the rest of them,, and now this one seems to be working pretty well.. figures, don't it?

Mythus.. my hearts with ya out there on the west coast.. my mom lives in southern Oregon. And don't think that I'm on that stardust train at all.. those are pretty hit and miss for me. I want to be able to use them on the KGO but they just aren't all that great on those.. they're ok on the LT. I guess I just have better luck with regular ol single coil cartos. I love that your son is cooking dinner... my son used to do that all the time. He would drag out a cookbook, open it and make whatever was on the page he opened up to.. regardless of wether we had the ingredients! He improvised a lot, which made for some interesting dinners! He's married now and has four kids and still does a lot of the cooking. He's pretty good at it too!

Well my friends.. hope you all have a great night.. gonna relax with some Steven's Surprise (love ECB!!)

Of the 4 wicks in the Vivi, there is one that is just sitting on top of the coil and I would suggest removing that one. Also, if you haven't cleaned the head yet, I would suggest doing so that as well. Just remove the silicone cap on the head, do a dry burn or two, and then run it under really hot tap water to get all the juice out of the wicks. Let it dry after that and hopefully you'll get your performance back.

Also, I've found that no matter what device I'm using (Vivi or Stardust) the taste will fade in and out, but I'm pretty sure that's my taste buds getting fatigued and not the device. When the flavor seems to get weak, I switch from one to the other for a while and when I go back, the flavor is magically there again.

In other news, I checked the tracking of my latest DV order and it's finally here in Tampa so I should be getting it today. :D

I love the Pirates movies...Johnny Depp is ridiculous. He is clearly the best "character" actor that has ever walked the planet. He can morph into anything. I want to see his new vampire movie.

Tina! Glad to have you back! I have a wee little crush on Cap'n Jack - Johnny Depp is brilliant, and I'm finding that I appreciate him more now than I did as a kid (though I have to admit crushing on him in 21 Jump Street, too!)

Just noticed...why am I the ONLY one from the west coast on here????

2 words: COME VISIT!!!! :D

Wow! Did your ER nurse convert someone else already, or does she want back ups and more color options to match her scrubs? :)

Okay, I've got to agree with everyone else on this - I don't want to have to fiddle with something in order to get it to work the way it's supposed to. Some fiddling is fine, and expected with a new to me piece of vape gear, but... I just want it to work without having to remove a silicon cap, or fiddle with wicks.

Take that with a grain of salt though, since I'm the girl who watched a video on how to change the coil & wick on a Stardust yesterday (looks pretty straight forward!), but that's more of a mod than a necessity to make it work. Plus, I'm curious to see how long I can get the tank to last, and think it might be a fun little experiment when one of them finally kicks the bucket. AAAND, I might want to swap the short wicks for longer wicks depending on how I feel about the V2s when they arrive. My biggest issue with the Stardusts has been the break in period, but soaking them in a 50/50 pg/vg solution before using really seems to take care of that little problem.

Glad your DV order is on its way to you, and the offer stands - if you ever find yourself without something you need before an order arrives (or you forget to reorder!), just let me know - I'm almost stocked enough to open my own little emergency vape center for the Tampa Bay area :smokie: Need Juice? Cheeky's got it! Need Atties? Cheeky's got 'em! Stardusts? No problem! Cartos? Tell me what you need - flanged? punched? unpunched? LR or SR? Dual, single or horizontal coil? 510 or ego threaded? 35mm or 45mm? Boge or SmokTech??? Name your need & Cheeky's got you covered! (this is what happens when a girl with CDO and a habit of going overboard with things she likes has too much time on her hands AND almost runs out of juice ONCE - it'll never happen again {I suddenly feel like Scarlet from Gone With the Wind - "I'll never go hungry again!", only in this case, I'll never run dry again}) :p

I haven't checked my tracking numbers for buys from the classies or from DV - since everything that's coming is a repeat of something already in the Cheeky chest, I'm not quite as stalkerish as I seem to be with new stuff :) Well stocked = mellow Cheeky. Understocked or new & exciting = danger! danger! Will stalk postal carrier!

I hear you (and everyone else) on getting something that just works, and I believe that is ultimately the goal of the evolution in vaping products we're seeing. I don't mind tinkering a bit with a brand new product, such as removing a free floating wick or doing a pre-soak before using like you do with the Stardusts, but I'm not one for rebuilding anything that costs less than $20 and works as advertised for a decent amount of time. One thing that I think most people (including myself) forget from time to time is that this industry is not regulated and quality control can be an issue at times, and the evolution of products is still in it's infancy.

I don't know nothin' about birthin' no babies, Ms. Cheeky! I can see it now in flashing neon lights "Cheeky Monkey's Vape Supplies". Hell, if you actually had the ambition to open a shop on Ulmerton or Roosevelt, I'd probably be in there at least twice a week after work! :D

OK, time to go stalk the mail man and then do some more car shopping. Hope everyone has a great vape-day!

LOL! Don't tempt me, Glen! I've actually been toying with the idea of doing something vendor related, but think it would have to be an online venture since I don't make it out of the house (or off the couch!) very often these days - but I'd be happy to meet you out somewhere on Ulmerton/Roosevelt! Speaking of - do I get to show you the joys of drip shields at the meet next Saturday? It's at AJs on Ulmerton :)

Hope that car shopping is a pleasure - which cars are on today's agenda? :)

Basically, I'm going to hit most of the dealers on Florida Ave and the Toyota dealer on Fletcher. They're all conveniently located within a few miles of my house so I'll check them out to see what they have in the roomy hatchback / crossover categories.

Being a vape supply vendor could be a great home business venture, and you would instantly have at least one loyal customer. :D

lol! I'll keep that in mind Glen, and in the mean time, you can consider me your vaping Red Cross - I'm there when you need me ;) or Allstate - Like a good neighbor, Cheeky is there *giggle* (wheee meds are making me loopy today!)

Enjoy those test drives - hope you fall in love with something beautiful, stylish and affordable!

Happy Saturday my friends! Oh Glen,, I DO NOT envy you car shopping. I absolutely abhor it. Car dealers are ALL crooks! I can't stand em. Especially when they see a blonde woman coming in on her own.. I know what they're thinking... easy mark! Not this blonde woman, let me tell you! I'm afraid I get a bit rude with car salesmen,, do... not... THINK... you're gonna pull anything over on me, mister! You know what I hate the worst?? That first question they ask you,, what kind of payment are you looking for? Well gee, I'm not shopping for a payment, I'm shopping for a CAR! You let ME worry about my payment,, you worry about the price of the car. (Oh God, listen to me rant!! And I'm not buying a car!!) I bought my car a little over a year ago and I'll keep it forever,, mostly cuz I love it, secondly because I do NOT want to have to deal with another car dealer! So best of luck to ya Glen!!!

About the Vivi.. I did exactly that this morning, removed that fourth wick that just lays over the top of the coil. I also trimmed that little rubber cap that sits over that center post. It seems to be working pretty good right now. I think, too, that my tastebuds get kind of fried.. I switch flavors around so much, they're probably just confused and I end up not tasting anything!

Cheeky,, I think you may have to put an addition on for all your stuff.. I believe you really could open a business!! Hey, I'd be customer #2!! (Glen got in before me :() How in the world do you keep it all straight??? I hope you labeled stuff,, I didn't label stuff in the beginning and heaven only knows what some of my cartos actually are. I learned though, and now everything gets labeled!

I've been reading a lot about batteries.. I'm sure these batteries I got with my lavatube are ok, but it really kinda worries me that it takes, literally, two days to charge one of them. That can't be normal! Think I'm gonna go with RTD.. two new batts and a new charger. Ohh, and the charger whines a bit when I put the battery on it. I hate to be paranoid but I don't wanna burn down my house either!

Gawd, what a beautiful day here today! It's 74degrees, the sun is shining, my little flower garden is growing right before my eyes!! I must drag out the hose and wash my front deck and the back deck too. And I'll have to take a couple pics of my backyard oasis:p See, the hose is another one of those things you have to bring inside and put away for the winter.. you warm climate people don't have to do that stuff.

Speaking of which,, think I'll go do that while it's nice out.. have a great afternoon everyone!!

Well, today was a good day for car shopping, but it was a bit hot out. We went to Toyota, Nissan, and Honda today and found some a few nice vehicles which are now top of the list. At Toyota I test drove the Prius 2; Prius V; Venza; and RAV4. At Nissan I test drove the Juke and the Murano. At Honda, I test drove the Crosstour and the CRV. Of those, the Prius 2 and both Hondas made the top of the list, so now I just need to figure out if gas mileage of the Prius is more important that the performance I can get from both of the Hondas. I really love the style of both the Crosstour and the new CRV, but the great mileage and the gadgets in the new Prius really speak to my geeky side too. Right brain, left brain. I'll figure it out this week. :D

Luvinit - I'm not too concerned with the dealing portion, because that's why I bring my ex-wife/current best friend with me. One of her finest qualities is the ability to deal with sales people, and she's quite good at it.

About the Vivi.. I did exactly that this morning, removed that fourth wick that just lays over the top of the coil. I also trimmed that little rubber cap that sits over that center post. Glad to hear you've revived the Vivi again, and I hope you don't find it to be too much of a pain before the new heads are made available. I filed down the center post of the 510 connector on mine, and I got a sleeve adapter to cover the ego threads on Woody, so now the Vivi sits flush and looks like it belongs there. Tomorrow I'll be trying my shorty 510 to 510 adapter with my atty and try some dripping and eventually I'll have to get some drip shields from Empire Mods (very cool stuff there).

Cheeky - See... Luvinit agrees that you should open a vape supply business. I think the winds of change are calling your name and leading you to your new adventure. :D

I've been reading a lot about batteries.. I'm sure these batteries I got with my lavatube are ok, but it really kinda worries me that it takes, literally, two days to charge one of them. If you only have 2 batteries now and one charger, I'd recommend getting 2 more batteries and another charger. I got 4 AW 18650s when I got Woody and the Pila charger, and I'll probably pick up the XTAR WP2 II for $20 so I have a backup. I'm also thinking about getting a set of the new Panasonic protected batteries that I've been hearing about since they're available at 3100mah and seem to be rated high in safety.

I've walked out of dealerships because they've treated me like a "dumb girl" they could take advantage of - usually after laughing at them and asking if they were serious. It's one of several reasons I'll likely keep my Toyota Echo for many many years - the's the first incarnation of the Prius, and I really love it. Great gas mileage, surprisingly roomy interior, and it still looks and handles like new despite being a 2003 and having close to 140K miles on the odometer :)

Cheeky,, I think you may have to put an addition on for all your stuff.. I believe you really could open a business!! Hey, I'd be customer #2!! Funny, Iron Monkey said something similar this morning! He wants to clear out a portion of the laundry room to house my excess vaping supplies :) Everything is organized by type, and those items not in their boxes, are in labeled Ziplocks in their respective drawers. The labels list make, model, ohm, coil & liquid capacity for ease of filling. All part of my CDO ;)

I've been reading a lot about batteries.. I'm sure these batteries I got with my lavatube are ok, but it really kinda worries me that it takes, literally, two days to charge one of them. The whining of the charger would worry me - couple that with requiring 2 days to charge, and I would toss that charger (and possibly those batteries!!). They shouldn't take more than a few hours to charge, and my charger doesn't "talk" to me. Until you can get a new charger and batts, make sure that you keep an eye on those batteries while they're on the charger, let them rest for at least an hour before popping them into you APV, and do your test fire pointed AWAY from your face (meaning fire it up for 5 seconds or so the first time you fire it after inserting new batteries). It may not be a problem, but better safe than sorry!!!

Sounds like a gorgeous day Luv! I hope you enjoyed every bit of sunshine you had, and I'm looking forward to seeing those pictures :)

Again, I have to say, I love my Echo (first incarnation of the Prius)! I get great gas mileage, a surprisingly responsive drive, tight turning & maneuverability, and a car that looks and drives like new while being a nearly 10 years old with close to 140K miles on it. I  her, and have no desire to replace her. I do something wish she had more bells and whistles, but other than that, I'm really happy with the ease of ownership! Good luck making your decision - I'm sure you'll pick the car that is right for you :)

Cheeky - See... Luvinit agrees that you should open a vape supply business. I think the winds of change are calling your name and leading you to your new adventure. :D

Certainly something to give more consideration to!

I have several of the new Panasonics and really like them - the time between charges is great once they're broken in (average for the first few cycles). I would suggest getting a few more batts so that you can cycle them, and give them more rest time between use & charges. This also puts you in a better position should any of them fail or start to lose charge life :) the TR-001 charger has good reviews, but Glen is right about the Pila & Xtar being best bets - they're on my list of things to upgrade to eventually (and if I do ever open a store, I'd love to carry them!), but in the mean time, the TR-001 works beautifully :)

Today I learned that the Cherry Swirl from ECB is a Stardust killer! I filled one for Jeff (new) this afternoon before laying down for a nap. When he woke me up for dinner, he started apologizing and swearing up and down that he hadn't dropped it or done anything, but that he would buy me 6 new ones to make up for it (all before showing me the stardust lol). When I looked at it, it wasn't just a little crack, but an entire network of deep cracks from the inside, the tank has gone from clear to opaque, and the drip tip base has started to melt!!! I'll try to post pictures of it later tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to keep it and try the whole disassembling/cleaning/rewicking thing on it, but won't be reusing that tank for vaping purposes.

In other news, I won a contest today!!! Red Sky Mods is sending me a Tube Mod desk caddy and a little surprise (for posting a picture of my current mods :))! I'm super excited to put it to use - picture here Desk Caddies & Accessories - Red Sky Mods I think it will be a lovely addition to the coffee table, and might help me keep some of my vaping supplies in use a bit better organized :)

Nice! You'll have to post pix when you get it. The pictures on the web site make it look really nice!
