I've got a simlar routine. After work when it's time to relax I'll go to the bedroom with a PV full of my fav juice. Then pop a DVD I have loaded with a bunch of great chill tunes into the 5.1 surround surround system in my BR. Turn off all the lights except for my Himalayan salt crystal lamp. Then just veg out and vape myself into a stupor. :D

Doesn't take long for my cat to curl up next to me with it's deep purr for added ambience. She knows it's one of the best times to get some good scruffing action.

Where did you find your lamp? Walmart has some at good prices but, I wonder how the quality is. Do they really work? ECF teaches me something knew everyday and not just about vaping :)

Amazon has the best prices I've found on them - price varies by size, and you do have to be kind of careful if you live in a humid environment, as the can melt if you don't use your AC. From what I've been told you can avoid the melting if you keep the lamp on, but the woman who owns a local shop that sells them (for 3-4x the amazon price), said there are no guaranties if it's in a humid environment with no AC.

Haven't had any issues with melting or any issues really. I got the "basket of rocks" style and I gotta say it gives off a beautiful firey glow. Looks like a basket of glowing hot coals. Much heavier than expected too. People are generally startled when they see it since their 1st momentary impression is "something's burning". :D

Whether they work or not (other than being great for ambience) is pretty illusive and subjective. I got the impression it was ionizing the air when I had the original higher wattage bulb in.

I think the melting is more of a problem here (gulf coast of Florida) than it would be in most other places - the story I was told was of a woman who lived on the beach & left her windows open for the gulf breeze. My guess is that it wouldn't be nearly as big an issue in PA :) I'm glad you love yours - I've been debating buying on for over a year - they're gorgeous, and I love the idea of ionizing the air (if it works) :)
