Vape coil sizzle/burn taste

I have 2 tanks (mini goblin and rta griffin) and I build my coils with Kanthal A1 and wick them and juice them but everytime I vape I get good taste the first 2 seconds then after vaping the coil sizzles for 3/4 seconds after and I get a bad burn/metalic taste, what could I be doing wrong to cause this issue?

Coil position related to airflow & highth from deck?
Airflow setting?
Wicking material & method?
Pg/vg ratio?

Yep. In my admittedly limited experience, extra sizzle n pop, (more than ~1 sec), indicates a wicking problem, whether that's not enough material, or something else preventing it from wicking well enough to keep up with the power applied to the coil.

Could also be a lot of coil mass. I find if I make coils with really thick wire or thin wire but a lot of wraps then it usually takes a while to heat up and consequently, cool down.

This keeps the coil in the vaporizing range after I let go of the fire button for a second or so.

If you keep inhaling during the sizzle it shouldn't really be an issue but maybe if you don't it's burning the juice in the wicks.

I fixed it, I used too much wick so used a much thinner piece of cotton and now I hear the crackling sounds and no bad taste, thanks for the help guys!
