a friend of mine was arguing that nicotine is still bad for you even if it isn't In a cigarette and in a vape. She said her brother had a heart infection caused from vaping? Also, thst nicotine clogs your heart arteries and can mess them up and cause a heart attack while drinking and smoking something with nicotine. I don't believe any of this and I've done hours and hours of research and can't find any trusted sources. Anyone know anything? Thanks for all your help guys! This forum has helped out so much already!

Nicotine by itself can complicate some circulatory problems as like caffeine it will tend to elevate blood pressure.
A heart infection caused by nicotine? I see no way it could be linked.
Nicotine does constrict your arteries and such like caffeine.
Nicotine is no worse than a red bull or maybe even not as bad for you.
Smoking tobacco now is bad for ya, but it is not the nicotine that is the problem but the smoke, tar, etc that is bad stuff.

Exactly what Robert Cromwell said, it can complicate certain health problems but it has never been shown to cause them by itself. It also is not linked to cancer in anyway, even though on California made juice bottles, it will state that falsity. It's pretty much in the same ballpark as caffeine, sugar, etc.

Nicotine has even undergone/going scientific research for its potential benefits, such as pain relief and benefits such as a decrease in blood pressure over time, etc. I do not have the direct reference link of the scientific studies, but I'm sure using keywords from this you could find it yourself.

While nicotine temporarily increases heart rate, increases blood pressure, it's not permanent and always will go away upon stopping use.

Nicotine isn't even addictive itself, it's been shown those who are given nicotine solely do not form a dependence. Nicotine has been entirely hyped of how its "dangerous", what you really should be worrying about is sugar consumption. 45g of sugar in an 8oz soda? People don't understand how ridiculous that is at first glance, not to mention high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, and all these other artificial ingredients you can find in most foods that our bodies are not designed to digest.

Perhaps you'll call me a conspiracy theorist... but it's almost as though they want us to eat all of this terrible artificial foodstuff. Do the research yourself, educate yourself on it by reading. Avoid articles and any site that doesn't give reference links and make sure to check the reference links for anything that doesn't match up, also check that the reference links you read are of a reputable source as well.

Question. Everything.

I left a couple PDF's that you should print and share with friends and family when they wait to discuss THR and nicotine.

Make some copies, staple them together, leave them in the car and whenever someone tells you how much harm you are doing just walk to you car, grab these and educate them, somebody has to do it.

I use them all the time. I'm glad to see someone else that will put them to good use.

Of course! Misinformation must be met with knowledge and having references instead of only my words will be helpful.

Whether or not the individual will listen to and absorb the information given to them is another story, but I'm always willing to try. It's worth it for the potential effect of opening one's eyes, perhaps converting a couple smokers even.

One can hope!

does your friend eat tomatoes, potatoes, califlower, eggplant??? they contain nicotine too... ask your friend if he is having heart problems from those foods...

I am amazed at how people will target something and berate it even tho they consume the same chemical in things that they think are totally free of said chemical.... just goes to show how little they truly know about things...

as far as a heart infection.... it takes a living micro organism to do that.. ( bacteria/virus)... if its not those 2 items then it falls under posioning ( chemical). And yes some chemicals can weaken the body to a point that can allow an existing infection to take hold even more so, but it wont cause an infection on its own... kinda like saying pouring gasoline on your hand will cause a cold...
