i did and i was asking people how long it took to get over there pg allergy. i did stop. and day 9 almost 90 percent of my anxiety has subsided. each day it has gotten better and today is my best day. sooooo i am writing this to see how long it takes for people to get the pg out of their system which you obviously have no allergy too. this is not for you purpose of your kind ;)

docotor already checked me at the ER. no doctors know anything about this stuff about pg allergy.. anyways this is why we post to help eachother. and it is day 9 and i feel soo much better today. no more breathing out and feeling that toxic chemical feeling that is gonna cause me anxiety. it was just a tiny bit today and i bet tomorrow is even better and its my day off.

i didn't smoke cigarettes before i started the ecigarettes but like 3 years before that . soo i use to be a smoker 3 years ago smoke cigs. then stopped. then started the ecig. i have given very good accurate information... and you misread what i was saying......also i will ask medical advise when no doctors know exactly what a pg allergy does to anyone. and if you do have a pg allergy you will get sick. you will have bad respiratory problems for at least a week just like i have been through. i want to ask on here cus there is no answers about it. except us lab rats soooooo. next.... did you not read that i went to a doc. they did ekg. they did every test you could think of and nothing they could see. actually i have read allot of people having my problem too. also no.... i was sitting there..... sleeping there and my heart pounded an woke me up out of a dead sleep what the! is that! never had that its the pg. you do not know about pg allergies and that is what it is . i am writing this to help other people. sooo whoever is reading this yes i had this too. stop doing the vapor and cleanse with water. get prescribed to anxiety medicine to help you through this if your doctor recommends for your anxiety........ to get you through what this pg allergy is doing to you.

no the doctor on staff kept me there for 6 hours doing every freaking thing he could think of to make sure i was okay and not having a heart attack.. your heart actually feels like its trying to beat out of your chest palpitations! not normal at all. not even really a panic attack.. that is the actual feeling that leads you to the panic attack actually.

okay the only reason i see you saying this is because you have never heard of a pg allergy before and you just realy want to believe no one can have a reaction to the dang thing. well helloo i am a human girl and my husband and i have allot of the same allergies and the same thing has happend to the both of us.. both same acid stomache issues before and same heart palpitations... also he is having a better day but actually he quite like 3 days after me soo he is going through stuff. he just went to bed with heart problems and anxiety from no where and i cant do nothing but rub his back and say everything is gonna be okay.. not posting to talk to people like you who are perfect and fine with the ecig. only ones who are having an allergic reaction!

Since propylene glycol (PG) is used in many other inhalable pharmaceuticals, and hundreds of other digestable and topical products without any of these associated symptoms, I'd say this is either unrelated or an extremely isolated instance. PG "allergies" are typically no more than an irritation at the time of consumption.

there has been no advanced studies on the quantities in which i have inhaled of pg so you have no authority to say this is soooooo. also its the only possilbe thing that could have done what it has done in the week in which it is now subsiding when i have quite. also when i inhaled more pg percent i had higher heart rate and had harder heart palpitations.... you do not even know about pg allergies in which extreme they can do to people.

So like everyone says--stop vaping PG...or quit altogether. What exactly do you want people in a forum to tell you? You've seen a doctor, you claim no doctor knows what an extreme allergy to PG looks like, and you're feeling better after stopping. Sounds like you found your solution. If you don't have an allergy, then you're barking up the wrong tree. If you do, it makes no sense to dwell on it and make yourself more anxious.

And there have been numerous studies on the toxicity of PG since the '30's--the only cases where heart related side effects are seen is in high intravenous doses.

I'm glad you're feeling better, but I'm not sure that your anxiety is being helped here.

How long have you been taking xanax for? Do you wake up feeling the anxiety or shortly after you are awake and as the day goes on it gets better unless something sets it off?

As for PG it's not likely that this is your problem. Thousands of people are on this site and others and PG has not been reported to cause anxiety but yes overdoing the Nicotine can do it. It's possible your "Zero" juice isn't "zero" or because you are not used to Nicotine it had a very strong effect on you and the withdrawal is now causing you problems. This is another reason I tell people who have never vaped not to do it. Nicotine is known to make anxiety worse.

Avoid unhealthy substance use. Alcohol and drug use and even caffeine or nicotine use can cause or worsen anxiety. If you're addicted to any of these substances, quitting can make you anxious. If you can't quit on your own, see your doctor or find a support group to help you.

Also you can hit "reply with quote" it's on the bottom right of a person's comment. This way each person will know that you are replying to them.

i had the same thing. went to a bunch of doctors and they found out it was caused by an abnormal thyroid. my thyroid levels in my blood test were in the normal range but at the high end. finally after like the 5th blood test the last doctor wanted to check my thyroid and thats what it was, hyperthyroidism. it causes anxiety, rapid heart rate, the shakes, and nervousness. I went through a radiation treatment last week to kill my thyroid and should be back to normal within a month. get it figured out it will only get worse. when it comes to your health don't take any shortcuts.

Pg is quite safe.
Peanut butter and shrimp are quite safe too. For people who aren't allergic to (or have an intolerance for) peanuts or shellfish.

I have recently developed sensitivity to PG. Can't vape it at all anymore. Have to vape 100% VG.

PG "allergies" are typically no more than an irritation at the time of consumption.
When I vape PG, the inside of my mouth begins to feel burned, as if I have been consuming food or a drink that is too hot. That feeling takes a couple of days to go away completely.

So it's not just "at the time of consumption." On the other hand, it's not anything like panic attacks, either.

I hope all goes well for you. Anxiety is a beast to deal with. I have PTSD and have been fighting it for a long time. It's no joke that is for sure. Paxil and Citalopram are what I use and even that only works so so.

Xanax is highly addictive. And has pretty bad withdrawal symptoms. Some people need to go to Rehab to get off Xanax. Look it up. If you are chewing on them to make them work faster, that sounds like a problem with Xanax use. Stop using ecigarettes. And if your s/o is having the same problem, he should stop too.

You can go to the Health and Safety forum area of ECF and read about pg/vg. You can also do a search for pg allergy and many threads should come up to give you more info that may ease your mind. If it has been 9 days since any use, you probably should not be having any effects from vaping left. You should go to your regular doctor that knows you and your medical history and see if something else is going on to cause your problem.

I do and I know someone else who can't handle any pg without going to the E.R. In my case, the first clue was a reaction to anesthesia. I was already allergic to vaseline, bacetracin, a lot of body creams and never thought about PG in ecigs being related. But they are. Guess what? Hospitals use PG added to the air because of it's anti-bacterial qualities. It is in asthma inhalers, breathing treatments, it's so common it's not listed as an ingredient. Doctors and pharmacists have to call the manufacturer to know for sure if they are dealing with a severe allergy to PG.

Allergies are a frequent topic around here and usually it's hard to sort out which is what when nicotine withdrawl is also factor, and I'm not familiar with allergies affecting the heart.

It is not normal. It is what a panic attack feels like. The heart beats faster and then the mild panic is exacerbated into a full blown attack. I think you may need to have a complete work up. All the things I have heard about PG allergy do not sound like the things you are saying. Especially so many days after stopping vaping altogether. I also suspect your zero nic liquid was not actually zero nic. You should post this in the health forum for further information, especially since you are well over your required posting now.
