Vape Fuse on Reo question

I am using a vape safe fuse from RTD so my spring won't pop and safety
When I make a coil at .08 the fuse seems to stop working . It seems to stop the current from reaching the coil. It works ok at 1.5
I thing I need it the most at a low ohm??
AW 18490 Battery

Any advice?

looks like your just gona have to use a higher ohm coil

My guess is that fuse has a cut-off at 5 amps. A .8 ohm coil will pull about 5.12 amps on a fully charged battery. try a 1 ohm coil, that would be about 4.1 amps.

Edit: your 1.5 ohm coils is only pulling 2.73 amps

I've used a vape safe on .8~.9Ω with a 490 and it never tripped the fuse. Maybe I was just lucky.

at .9 ohms you'd be pulling 4.55 amps

Play with the ohm law calculator Put 4.1 into volts and the ohms of your coil in resistance to get the amps. 4.1v is an a good number for a fully charged new battery even though they say 3.7v, my fully charged new AW IMR 18650 2000mah is reading 4.15v
