Vape hate from a smoker.

Ok so when I vape at work I go outside with the smokers. As you know with smoke its hard to control where your vapor goes. I always try to blow it upward or away from other people. Today the wind shifted and it went towards a lady that was smoking out there with me. She immedialitly snurled up her nose and said that she just got a whiff of vanilla. It so happened that I was vaping apple vanillia. She pointed towards my pv which is a ego and said it must have come from that "Thing".

I just smiled...took another puff and agreed with her. When she still had a disgusted look on her face I just told her that mine smelled a heck of a lot better then what she was puffing!

So people don't like vanilla now? Ask her where she wants to be buried because she's going to lose the die first contest. I go for the jugular with those kinds of comments.

Smokers, ex-smokers and people that have never smoked seem to hate our guts. I've always been on the fringe, they can shove it.

The funny thing about this story is I was like that about a year ago. A friend of mine was in town and was vaping and it was the first time I had ever seen one and I told him what a stupid idea it was and that I thought there is no way it would work. Fast forward and year and he comes back home for Christmas still vaping and tells me he is totally off the analogs and feels so much better. Got me to really thinking and so I decided to give it a try and here I am a week into my journey and loving it. Human nature is to shy away from the unknown and be afraid of things we don't understand.

I get crap like this all the time.. some smokers don't care WHERE their smoke goes, yet they get a microwaft of vapor and let the comments roll.. It used to bother me but now I'm just like yeah, ok whatever.

I get the same thing from my coworkers. The one I get really sick of is goin to the bar and using my provari and getting "does that thing vibrate too?". but usually before the night is through those same people are asking to try it and then saying "I gotta get me one of them"

Busted out my black provari mini and got "dude, why are you putting a dildo in your mouth" from a cousin that smokes. Few drinks in, he's asking to try it and proceeds to tell his wife how awesome pluid tasted.

Dang, usually the smokers wherever I worked were a good group of folks and sort of bonded. That's one of the reasons I almost hated the idea of giving up smoking. Now, I vape alongside the smokers and we all get along. You know, some people are just mean spirited or else sometimes perhaps we, as humans, just take comments more seriously than they were intended.

I can understand if a non-smoker doesn't want to smell it (though most don't mind and tend to think it smells good), but someone halfway through a cigarette complaining about the smell of vapor just blows my mind. I go out to vape with the smokers at work and a couple of them actually try to guess what flavor I'm vaping that day. One of them actually ended up picking up an eGo kit and hasn't smoked or dipped since.

So I have noticed the vapor is much thicker than smoke, so I take a big old draw and blow it at them. Turn around and walk away.

You know, I get the exact opposite reaction in my smoking area at work. I'm an old former Submarine Sailor, and still work with the Submarine force as a civilian now. Most of the guys I work with are current Submariners. Smoking was banned on submarines about a year ago, and they flock to the smoking area when they come back in port. They all ask about my fancy Lavatube... Do you like it, is it like smoking, do you still want to smoke, can I try it out? In my short time vaping, I have converted about 10 sailors off the stinkies and into vaping!

The way I see it, I'm saving the Submarine Force, one ex-smoker at a time

Being a former Submarine Chief, I probably would have had a few choice words for that lady... I'm not timid at all, prolonged military service tends to lead to loose lips... I probably would have told her to eat a wiener, and made several references to female dogs... Only using a different word for wiener that would be deemed inappropriate here Hehe
