I am tracking junkie when I see my vape mail is out for delivery. So I was excited when I seen my package was delivered early!

But after walking all the way to the mailbox there was nothing! I have heard that some mail carriers will scan their packages early so I am hoping that is what has happened. Just hoping somebody else didn't get my mail...but this has happened before when I received packages so Im pretty sure it just early scanning!

Whenever I'm expecting packages from UPS, I will check the tracking maybe once or at most twice. First to verify that UPS has gotten the package and to verify the expected delivery date, and the second time on the expected delivery date to verify that the package is out for delivery. With USPS packages, I have to track it daily since it is a crap shoot as to when the package will arrive. A good example is the latest package I am waiting for. I placed an order with Vapor Shark last Monday. They shipped last Wednesday Priority Mail 2 Day with the USPS. I confirmed with them that the package was handed over to the post office last Wednesday. As of today, the tracking still shows that the post office has not received the package yet, just that the tracking has been set up. So I have absolutely no idea when this package will arrive. I've sent stuff down to Florida from NY and it has always taken just two days (one instance it took three days). So I would have expected to have received the package this past Friday or Saturday.

How annoying!

They should add a pick-up system for those of us too impatient and willing to go pick it up.

They did, usually on the tracking page somewhere they have a hold at post office for pick up, used it several times for stuff I had to sign for and knew I wouldn't be home

Tracking also offers text alerts so every step is sent to you

They scanned all the packages at the beginning of their shift, which marks them all as "delivered" even though they have not yet been, instead of scanning each one individually as it is delivered.

A) that is an assumption, may or may not have scanned all or even a few.
B) Scanning takes the same amount of time no matter when.

So, what makes the Post Person Lazy?

Not doing their job properly.
Laziness.
Messes up program, obviously, as the tracking system shows incorrect information.
This allows the postman to "slam and jam"( drop packages and move on quickly, rather than stopping sitting in the sun, scanning packages).

My regular postman is on point. Older guy, very professional.
We have a part time postman that fills in. He's too lazy to bring a package to the door.
If I'm not standing outside, he'll leave a pick up slip and I'll have to drive to the post office the next day.

Blatant violation of postal regulations.
Contact the post master/mistress.
Provide tracking numbers of specific incidents.
Problem will be resolved.

Another assumption.
Op never replied back. Package may have been mis-posted to the wrong box and scanned at ting of posting.
A mistake possibly. Proof of laziness - not.

A courtesy provided by your regular Post Person. Not a Postal requirement or a sign of Laziness.

Delivering the mail isn't a courtesy. It's a paid service.

In fact, as of yesterday he is no longer employed by the PO.
Hopefully the next part timer will take some pride in their work.
