Romney gives me the heebee geebees. Kind of like Christopher Reeve before his horse accident.
The vaping industry started because it was seen as an alternative to quitting cigs/analogs for smokers. It was not created as an alternative to smoking weed. The weed heads just latched on. I would bet my life that the vast majority of people that are vaping weed aren't using it for medicinal purposes, but the stoners of the "Where's my car brah?" crowd.
Anyways since the "Where's my car brah" weedheads wanted badly to get their cheap high, they started dying from bad THC cartridges, which brought unneccesary attention to this vaping industry that was under great assault by big tobacco and politicians. Now this might be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Those cartridges were black market carts. Not carts from dispensaries that were legal in the states that allow such. Anyway, people can use whatever they want for the purpose they want. Not like you sign a contract to only use it for nicotine when you purchase it

Leave the religion out of it. It's not appropriate to the topic or to this forum. I'm neither LDS or even live in Utah. But that rant was just tacky, especially coming from a professional. I think we all could do with a little less of your random, disjointed thoughts about religion, your moods, your prior drug history and your personal hygiene quirks. Apparently, the warning was only placed on the cartridges in the summer of 2018, after the FDA directed them to do so.Either Romney or the kids are lying. The device and the cartidges all have a large warning: "WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical." Just stop with all the BS lies, please. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone - it's the first time I've ever agreed with anything President Trump has said or done. This while I watched MA put into place a forever flavor ban and a 75% excise tax on what they will allow.
This is the first time I've heard any politician admit that a prohibition of a product is a mistake and to suggest communities enforce underage sales to limit teen access. This proves the point that this is not a partisan issue, its more an issue of lawmakers on both sides making snap judgements without first learning the truth.

One last rant and I'll go away for awhile. The vaping illness and deaths are squarely on the backs of the CDC.
They discovered the link to vitamin E acetate weeks before they let the public know. Even then they weren't vocal enough to help people avoid what was making them ill. Instead our government wasted time with an attacked on Juul and imposed flavor bans. Even now have you read anything to indicate officials trying to discover the source of the illegal THC pods that caused this mess? I do realize the CDC was gutted by the budget cuts and their best employees left for private industry when seeing no future there, but it's time we voiced our concerns to our officials. We either have or don't have consumer protections in place, these half way gestures are killing people.

Rahm said and it remains true for all activists, "Never let a good crisis go to waste". Mission accomplished, kids die, vaping takes a huge hit. The lie went full speed around the world; the truth, let out much later, never stood a chance.

I understand with your point on personal responsibility, but as the government agency responsible they were looked to for direction. They didn't do their jobs. Had they announced it sooner lives may have been saved and the blanket accusations against vaping may not have happened.
